'Whizdom Society' by MQDC launches 'Whizdom Scholarship' to support a community of talented and good young people by providing housing scholarships and skill development grants in collaboration with leading universities across the country.

  • Whizdom Society by MQDC continues its activities after serving breakfast to residents of all Whizdom projects, moving forward to support a community of talented and good young people. The initiative invests over 30 million baht to establish the Whizdom Scholarship program, developing both mental and potential capabilities to step onto the world stage by providing housing scholarships and self-development grants. It is gradually partnering with higher education institutions nationwide, starting with 3 leading universities in Thailand.

  • Whizdom Society by MQDC is launching the Whizdom Scholarship to create opportunities for students who demonstrate good behavior, participate in university activities, and engage in social initiatives but lack opportunities, especially in housing, as they pursue higher education. The program supports educational and housing needs by providing 8 units of condominiums under the Whizdom brand for residence.

The owner and developer of the Whizdom residential brand is moving forward to create a community of learning and sharing by launching the 'Whizdom Scholarship' project to foster a better society, making Thai youth a model of 'a community of talented and good young people who will take care of the larger community in the future.'

       Atsada Kaewkhiao Chairman of Whizdom, Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC) one of Thailand's leading real estate developers, stated, “Due to the DNA of the Whizdom brand, we target the young generation. We create all activities to align with the lifestyle of young people. After serving breakfast to residents of all Whizdom projects, we recently launched the Whizdom Scholarship program to support Thai youth in becoming a community of good and talented individuals, allowing the younger generation to develop themselves in every dimension. This program aims to provide opportunities for students to focus on their studies, while Whizdom will take care of housing needs comprehensively, along with self-development grants totaling over 30 million baht. In this first year, we have arranged housing for 8 units and cover common expenses, water, electricity, and internet service, etc. We hope that this good initiative from Whizdom will be part of driving and enhancing opportunities for the younger generation, 'to support Thai society to be a community of good and talented people,' and we hope that this collaboration with educational institutions will help improve the quality of life for students and increase housing scholarships alongside various educational funding.” 

       Kritsathayut Chawawitthayatham, Director of 'Whizdom Society,' stated, “The Whizdom Scholarship was established to provide opportunities for underprivileged students who need to pursue higher education by supporting their educational and housing needs, allowing them to travel conveniently to their universities. In the initial phase, we have partnered with 3 universities, including Chulalongkorn University, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, and Srinakharinwirot University, with a total of 10 scholarships available, and we plan to expand in the future. The scholarship recipients must be students who lack financial resources, demonstrate good behavior, and participate in university and social activities, without restrictions on their field of study or academic performance. This program will provide housing scholarships throughout their university studies until they complete their bachelor's degree, with the universities determining the criteria based on their suitability. The scholarships provided by Whizdom Society by MQDC will be grants to the universities and students, with no repayment required from the Whizdom program.”

       Whizdom has prepared ready-to-move-in rooms for scholarship recipients, starting with 8 units for the 2019 academic year, which are part of the Whizdom brand projects, including Whizdom @Punnawithi Station with 4 units, Whizdom Avenue Ratchada-Ladprao with 2 units, and Whizdom Station Ratchada-Thapra with 2 units. The total value of the furnished rooms participating in the Whizdom Scholarship program exceeds 30 million baht, and a budget has also been allocated to cover other living expenses, which include:

  • Support for common expenses throughout the project duration, valued at approximately 180,000 baht per year.
  • Budget for furnishing the 8 units to be ready for living, amounting to 120,000 baht/unit.
  • Support programs for self-development (Learning Course & Program), valued at 50,000 baht per scholarship.
  • Support for utilities, including water and electricity, not exceeding 1,500 baht per month, or paid according to actual usage.
  • Support for high-speed internet service at 799 baht/unit/month.”
