Sansiri Promotes Green & Well-being as a Differentiating Strategy with the Launch of Sansiri Backyard, a Community Close to Nature on Development Land in T77 and Hua Hin, Embracing Urban Health and Environmental Trends to Win Over New Generation Customers
Sansiri promotes Green & Well-being as a differentiating strategy with the launch of Sansiri Backyard, a community close to nature on development land in T77 and Hua Hin, embracing urban health and environmental trends to win over new generation customers. The company is confident it will create a new customer base and drive sales of nearly 10 billion baht from three new projects in T77 and Hua Hin within three years.
Bangkok (May 13, 2019) - Sansiri Public Company Limited has launched Sansiri Backyard, a warm and friendly green community close to nature, under the concept of “Green Grow Give.” This initiative transforms over 14 rai of vacant land at the T77 project and Hua Hin into a chemical-free vegetable farm, providing urban dwellers the opportunity to experience a healthy lifestyle that is both physically and mentally beneficial, while being environmentally friendly. This aligns with the booming health-conscious trend that has seen the health business grow by over 10.6 percent annually. The company believes this will strengthen Sansiri’s brand as a leader in Green & Well-being and attract new urban customers to its two new condominium projects under the HAUS brand at T77 and one condominium project in Hua Hin, with a total value of nearly 10 billion baht set to launch in the next 1-3 years. The company also hopes to inspire all sectors to push Bangkok and Hua Hin towards becoming sustainable living cities of the future.
Ms. Jariya Janjerdsuk, Assistant Managing Director of Product Development at Sansiri Public Company Limited, stated: Today, people are increasingly interested in living a lifestyle that is good for both physical and mental health, as well as being friendly to the planet. Research from TCDC in 2018 indicated that good health is becoming a status symbol for the new generation, leading to a global growth of businesses promoting health by 10.6 percent, equivalent to 122 trillion baht annually. The well-being sector continues to grow rapidly each year with no signs of slowing down, as health issues have become a new symbol for urban dwellers and millennials in Thailand. The market for health-related products and services is continuously expanding and is supported by the government in developing Thailand into an international health hub by 2026, with expected domestic revenue of no less than 100 billion baht, with a revenue ratio of 75:25 from Thai and foreign clients respectively. This trend is expected to continue to rise following the free trade agreements of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), while environmentally friendly living is also gaining high interest.
“Sansiri recognizes the changing lifestyle trends of consumers and the rising environmental consciousness, thus continuing its vision of For Greater Well-being that cares for health and the environment to meet the quality of life demands of urban dwellers. This is achieved through the launch of Sansiri Backyard, a green community in the city that redefines sustainable living for the world and for us, following the success of creating significant environmental and sustainability changes in the Thai real estate sector through the Sansiri Green Mission business model that applies circular economy concepts to the brand's DNA and Sansiri Tree Story, which focuses on preserving and caring for trees to deliver lasting value.
Ms. Jariya continued: Sansiri Backyard represents another significant step for Sansiri in thinking outside the box by transforming unused land into a green space for urban communities. This initiative begins with the development of over 14 rai of vacant land in T77 at Sukhumvit 77 and Hua Hin into a chemical-free vegetable farm, encouraging people in large cities to recognize the importance of living close to nature and the quality of life that comes from consuming fresh, chemical-free, and unprocessed food, which is the foundational concept of well-being. It also promotes learning to balance urban living with sustainable environmental practices by spending time together in green spaces and sharing the produce from nature. Sansiri hopes that this commitment will inspire people to start creating green spaces in their nearby vacant areas and adjust their lifestyles to improve their quality of life for themselves and the environment. When everyone in large cities and all sectors come together, Bangkok, Hua Hin, and other major cities in Thailand can truly become A Sustainable City of the Future.

Sansiri Backyard was born from the desire to make major cities in Thailand sustainable living cities where people and nature coexist harmoniously, and where urban dwellers adopt a lifestyle that increasingly prioritizes physical and mental health in line with the well-being concept. Sansiri starts from the principle of 3Gs: Green, Grow, and Give.
- Green is about creating benefits from vacant spaces, whether small or large, outdoors or indoors, on high-rise buildings or houses, turning them into green spaces to bring urban dwellers closer to nature.
- Grow growing vegetables and fruits in the form of vegetable farms on vacant land to enrich the experience of living a healthy life, both physically and mentally, through consuming fresh, quality, chemical-free produce that is environmentally friendly. This also fosters a sustainable community in large cities by allowing employees, residents, nearby communities, and interested individuals to spend time together growing vegetables in Sansiri Backyard.
- Give some of the produce from Sansiri Backyard will be shared with Sansiri families in projects that have Sansiri Backyard, local schools around the area to create a sharing urban community, and promote children to consume quality vegetables, nearby communities, and the general public who want to learn about a good well-being lifestyle, as well as Sansiri employees, to ensure that the vision of eating well and living well in harmony with the environment is embedded in everyone's DNA. Additionally, some of the produce we sell will generate income that will be returned to society.
Sansiri plans to use this chemical-free produce at Siri House and Escape Hotel in Hua Hin and Khao Yai in the future.
Sansiri has initiated the Sansiri Backyard concept from within the organization with Sansiri Backyard @Sansiri HQ, promoting employees to plant trees on their desks by providing Table Farm Kits to make everyone's DNA green. This initiative then expands to Sansiri Backyard @ Sansiri Projects by transforming unused spaces in 20 of Sansiri's low-rise and high-rise projects into benefits for Sansiri residents by growing chemical-free vegetables to create green learning spaces that promote a good quality of life through healthy eating, both physically and mentally, in line with the well-being principles. This will then extend to Sansiri Backyard @T77 and Sansiri Backyard@Hua Hin, transforming 11 rai of vacant land at T77 on Sukhumvit 77 and 3 rai in Hua Hin into a warm and friendly green community close to nature, like a backyard garden, allowing everyone in the city to experience sustainable living that is friendly to nature and learn about urban living that is ready with well-being to cultivate a green lifestyle that cares for the planet, helping to push Bangkok and Hua Hin towards becoming a sustainable living city of the future.

“Sansiri believes that the commitment to doing business that cares for health and the environment under the vision of For Greater Well-being and the development of Sansiri Backyard on vacant land awaiting development in T77 and Hua Hin will make the new generation, who prioritize health and the environment, view Sansiri brand as their top choice that stands out from competitors. When this target group has a preference for the brand, it is highly likely that they will become future customers. Therefore, Sansiri is confident that it can achieve total sales of over 10 billion baht when launching two new projects under the HAUS brand on the vacant land of Sansiri Backyard@T77 and another new condominium on the land of Sansiri Backyard@Hua Hin in the next 1-3 years. Additionally, Sansiri will use this model to further develop other waiting development areas into Sansiri Backyard to maximize the benefits of the land and foster better relationships with target customers in each location in the future,”
Ms. Jariya concluded: Sansiri wants urban dwellers to prioritize quality living that is friendly to nature to inspire various sectors to work together to push Bangkok and Hua Hin to be major cities that grow sustainably in the future (A Sustainable City of the Future), not just for the planet, but for all of us to live a life full of good physical and mental health. You can experience the green community close to nature that is open to learning a new definition of sustainability for the world and for us at Sansiri Backyard@T77 and Sansiri Backyard @Hua Hin this October.
