“Magnolias Waterfront Residence at Icon Siam” and “The Residence at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok” are thrilled to have the floating museum “Sri Mahasamut Ship”, a symbol of Thailand's glory along the riverbank, established to commemorate the benevolence of King Taksin the Great on the 250th anniversary of the founding of Thonburi. The ‘Sri Mahasamut Ship’ is the first floating museum in Thailand and will serve as a symbol of prosperity that comes with the waterways, taking visitors back to the era of Thonburi and the peak of maritime trade in the 18th century, a significant chapter in the history of this important trading port along international trade routes, which laid the foundation for Thonburi to thrive as a trade route up to the present day. Both projects, located in the prime area of Thonburi along the Chao Phraya River, take great pride in being part of this symbol of prosperity along the river today.”
