LPC under LPN Changes Name After SE Certification, Moves Forward to Eliminate Informal Debt and Create Happiness for Underprivileged Women
Lumpini Property Service and Care Co., Ltd. (LPC) has changed its name to LPC Social Enterprise Company Limited after being certified as a social enterprise. The company is committed to improving the quality of life through its informal debt relief project and promoting savings to create sustainable happiness for underprivileged women.

Ms. Suraswadi Suewaja, Managing Director of LPC, stated that after Lumpini Property Service and Care Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of L.P.N. Development Group, received certification as a social enterprise (Social Enterprise: SE) from the Department of Social Development and Welfare, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, the company must comply with the conditions specified in the Royal Decree regarding tax exemptions (No. 621) of 2016, which requires the term “social enterprise” to be included in the company name. Therefore, the company has changed its name to LPC Social Enterprise Company Limited, effective from October 1st.
The Managing Director of LPC further mentioned that the company's aim is to generate income, create dignity, provide opportunities, and importantly, to create happiness for employees. The company must maintain close relationships with employees to understand their difficulties and find ways to assist and resolve issues. “One of the problems identified is informal debt. Therefore, we have an interest-free loan program and act as an intermediary between employees and creditors to help coordinate debt relief, alongside training employees to keep household accounts to track monthly income and expenses and plan their spending appropriately. At the same time, the company is also looking to build financial resilience for the future. After helping employees eliminate their debts, if they can develop a habit of saving money each month, this amount can serve as an emergency fund. This year, the company has invited employees to participate in the 'Savings Project,' where employees can join with just 100 baht, and after saving for 12 months, the company will contribute additional funds as an incentive for employees to save more,” she added.
“We see LPC as just a small cog in the wheel of society that helps underprivileged individuals find employment and improve their quality of life. We hope to encourage more organizations to become social enterprises so that social issues can be reduced, and our Thai society can become stronger in the future,” the Managing Director of LPC concluded.
