I. Yingliang Group x Steve Leung Launches LIANG LIVING: A New Definition of a Global Lifestyle Brand

A Poem from Stone Crafted by Nature

Yingliang Group, in collaboration with SLD, launched LIANG LIVING, a new lifestyle brand on the global stage at SLD • Andrea Bonini, leveraging the potential of premium quality stone from Yingliang, combined with exquisite craftsmanship and a shared commitment to material beauty and sustainability. Under a contemporary design concept, it reinterprets “premium natural stone” from a primary construction material to furniture and collectible art that seamlessly integrates into daily life, elevating the potential of natural stone to a new dimension of modern living.

Steve Leung, as a global brand strategy advisor and design director at SLD, has curated and developed four main collections for the exhibition “Crafted by Nature”, with key partners including renowned Italian designer Andrea Bonini, partner of SLD • Andrea Bonini, and Woody Yao, founder and director of KTWY from England. The works present a fusion of Eastern philosophical concepts, Italian minimalist luxury, and the sharpness of parametric design through stone sculptures that deeply convey and celebrate the beauty of nature.

  • LIANG LIVING: The Philosophy of Change is the Spirit of Stone

Steve Leung's works under the LIANG LIVING brand are inspired by the philosophy of “Change” from the Book of Changes, conveying the concept of “one stone, endless forms,” one of the ancient Chinese philosophies, to elevate natural stone to masterpiece works worthy of collection. Each piece can adapt its form to fit the space and usage atmosphere, exuding warmth and vitality of stone while reflecting the graceful beauty of contemporary Eastern aesthetics, including:

  • Scala, a candlestick distinguished by its flexibility that can change form freely.
  • Equilibrio, a vase designed to reflect the balance between the curvature of the sky and the angular earth according to Chinese philosophy, through dimensions of angles and layers that can change freely.
  • Orlo, a hexagonal stone tray that showcases flexibility under a fixed geometric structure.
  • Velato, conveying the fluidity of fabric through the reinterpretation of stone to achieve softness, reflecting Eastern elegance.
  • Roma Collection: Transmitting the Splendor of Architecture to the Aesthetics of Living

Andrea Bonini presents the “Roma” collection, drawing inspiration from the exquisite beauty of Roman architecture accumulated over thousands of years, reinterpreting it into contemporary interior design. This includes the soft curves of column bases, the rhythm of arches, or cornices reflecting light at different times, using a design approach that minimally touches the material's distinctiveness, resulting in this collection presenting simple yet balanced forms through various pieces such as vases, incense holders, candlesticks, and coffee tables, as if bringing the grandeur of valuable Roman architecture into daily life and making it tangible.

  • ASCENT: The Natural Fluidity of Stone Patterns

Woody Yao reflects expertise in design that seamlessly adapts and harmonizes with the surrounding context through the “ASCENT” collection, distinguished by the fusion of order and flexibility in one. Utilizing natural stone patterns as the core to define proportions, shapes, and the uniqueness of the pieces, including vases, coasters, centerpieces, and multi-layered containers, each piece can stand out on its own while harmonizing with the overall composition, adapting to the context of the usage area. The essence of this collection lies in exploring balance, harmony, and rhythm, expressed simply yet powerfully, reflecting the life force and natural beauty of the materials profoundly.

II. YARDCOM x Steve Leung: Launching the Landscape Collection Outdoor FurnitureTransmitting Eastern Aesthetics through the Convergence of Shapes, Spirit, and Nature

“Landscape” is an outdoor furniture development created in collaboration between Steve Leung and YARDCOM, with Andrea Bonini co-creating the design, transmitting Eastern aesthetics that emphasize living harmoniously with nature to create spaces where humans and the environment merge peacefully. This collection is inspired by the natural landscapes of the East, reflected through lines that echo the surfaces of mountains and stones, along with modular designs that allow for diverse configurations, accommodating both personal relaxation and social gatherings in a friendly atmosphere, fitting all styles of decor. The design concept does not adhere to fixed layouts but allows spaces to adapt according to usage and residents, transcending traditional outdoor furniture frameworks to reflect a lifestyle balanced between humans and nature while seamlessly merging Eastern and Western identities and blending tradition with contemporary style, creating a new balance for outdoor living, inviting users to experience the beauty of returning to nature.

The collection's name is also inspired by the triadic structure of Chinese characters, symbolizing abundance, perfection, and endless new beginnings, aligning with the modular concept that allows for limitless expansion. The collection is divided into four main lines, including:

  • Rock, designed based on the natural shapes of mountains and stones that can stand alone or integrate freely.
  • Sofas, available in both daybed and sofa styles in two sizes, distinguished by curved shapes that embrace the body, providing comfort with convenient handles for easy movement.
  • Modular Planter Bench, a versatile bench designed modularly, usable as a planter or storage space, with a cushion for relaxation.
  • Crystal, inspired by morning dew drops and the sparkle of gemstones.
  • Coffee Table & Side Table, made from ceramics fired at 1,340 degrees Celsius, glazed and finished to create unique patterns from the firing process, crafted by artisans who preserve cultural heritage through ancient techniques spanning centuries.
  • Aqua, merging inspiration from the beauty of aquatic plants with a tea house atmosphere, reflecting harmony with water and the aesthetic philosophy of a sage.
  • Tea Table & Corner Table, hexagonally designed tables that can be flexibly arranged, made from weather-resistant aluminum alloy, available in various heights, and stackable.
  • Tea Chair & Stool, chairs designed with smooth curves flowing like water, providing comfort while perfectly reflecting the rhythm of the space.
