The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization), or TCEB, in collaboration with Nakhon Ratchasima Province, organized the Town Hall 'Showcase Korat' to prepare for the K-BATTLE International Street Culture Festival 2026, an international street culture festival aimed at using the event as a mechanism to drive the economy and create a new city branding for Korat. The event took place at Centara Hotel Korat, with over 300 participants from business organizations, communities, and educational institutions presenting ideas and expressing their intent to participate in creating the festival and activities of 'Showcase Korat', which will bring income and investment to the province. The event also featured creative performances by local youth, combining music, dance, singing, and a marching band, showcasing the spirit of street culture while reflecting the potential of the new generation and the atmosphere of urban development through creative energy.

The event was honored by Mr. Wijit Kitwirat, Deputy Governor of Nakhon Ratchasima, who welcomed and rallied all sectors to join in hosting visitors from across the country while driving the province towards becoming a city of opportunities, festivals, and investments. Nakhon Ratchasima has been selected as the pilot province for the 'Showcase' project for the year 2026, organized by TCEB, which aims to develop the MICE industry ecosystem by creating city branding and establishing local festivals as effective tools for driving the province's new economy. Nakhon Ratchasima plans to organize significant activities, including the K-BATTLE International Street Culture Festival, which will bring contemporary art, culture, and the creative energy of the new generation to stimulate the economy, create a new image for the city, and attract tourists, participants, and media from across the country.

Meanwhile, Dr. Supawan Teerarat, Director of TCEB, discussed the implementation of the 'Showcase 2026' project, which builds on Korat's selection as the number one pilot city last year. This year, they are ready to support the 'Showcase the Future' of the K-BATTLE International Street Culture Festival 2026 to achieve the goal of developing this festival as a tool to attract the economy from across the country into Nakhon Ratchasima. Associate Professor Dr. Natthapong Phanno also revealed the 'Showcase: City Driving Strategy' that reflects the idea of using festivals as tools for creating city branding that can attract both 'people' and 'money' from across the country into Nakhon Ratchasima and stimulate local economic growth.

Additionally, the event presented plans for the K-BATTLE International Street Culture Festival 2026 by the Nakhon Ratchasima working group, including Atiphat Thongchan, President of Korat Battle Club, Phongsakorn Lertsakdawarakul, Deputy Director of Lanya Mo Kindergarten, and Dr. Anirut Pipatprapa, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at Mahanakorn University of Technology. This year, there are plans to develop a trade and investment platform through side events in the form of K-BATTLE World Street Culture Expo (KBATX) to create business opportunities and attract trade and investment from both domestic and international sources.

The event concluded with a declaration of intent to participate in 'Showcase Korat' in terms of being an attractive investment, tourism, and living destination from representatives of key networks in the province, including the Nakhon Ratchasima Chamber of Commerce, the Nakhon Ratchasima Hotel Association, the Khao Yai Tourism Association, the Pak Panya School, Mork Creation Co., Ltd., and Central Korat Shopping Center. Representatives from all sectors of the province expressed their readiness to support and participate in the K-BATTLE event, with a participation rate of 84% among all attendees at the Town Hall, reflecting the collaborative power to drive the festival as a significant mechanism for creating tangible economic opportunities for the city.

This Town Hall event marks an important starting point for uniting all sectors in Nakhon Ratchasima to collaboratively develop the city's festival for sustainable growth and to step towards becoming a creative economy city in the future.
