SC, under its latest rebranding aimed at creating value for people and the world, has joined hands with the 'ThaiCom Foundation' and 8 business partners to continue its social mission by co-creating the 'Present Playground' within The Present Haus. This learning space encourages people to reconnect with themselves, friends, and family while living in the moment. Additionally, every piece of furniture in this area is made from upcycled construction materials, designed by THINKK Studio, a globally recognized Thai designer, reflecting the ESG concept towards a sustainable society.

Ms. Chomchada Kuladilok, Deputy Managing Director of Corporate Branding at SC Asset Corporation Public Company Limited (SC), stated, "SC prioritizes the improvement of people's quality of life alongside environmental and social care. The 'Present Playground' project is designed to give users time to observe what is present, fostering conversations with those around them and spending time with friends and family, which is a value that has been lost in today's fast-paced society."

Recently, the company collaborated with the 'ThaiCom Foundation' and 8 partners to leverage their expertise in developing and designing spaces to benefit society, particularly in promoting children's learning and family time. Together, they transformed the playground area of The Present Haus, a new learning space for living mindfully in the present on Rajavithi Road, into a playground that facilitates learning through hands-on experiences and interactions in the moment, under the name 'Present Playground'.

This project aligns with SC's SCeroMission, which aims to reduce carbon emissions in all dimensions, from design and construction to living, in pursuit of Net Zero. The Present Playground creatively repurposes construction waste through upcycling, designed by THINKK Studio, transforming existing resources into a space for present learning that not only minimizes environmental impact but also connects people with the values of simple and meaningful living.

Ms. Pintongta Chinawat Kunakornwong, a board member and secretary of the ThaiCom Foundation, remarked that The Present Haus was developed as a learning space to help people reconnect with themselves and learn to live meaningfully. The 'Present Playground' is part of a space that allows learning to extend beyond the classroom and into real experiences, especially for families, which are crucial for youth development. "For the past 33 years, the ThaiCom Foundation has emphasized lifelong learning from both external and internal sources to develop youth holistically in mind and spirit. This collaboration and support from the private sector is another significant step in creating a space conducive to meaningful learning and growth, and we are preparing to continue organizing activities at The Present Haus," she added.

The 'Present Playground' is a play area developed under the concept of learning through being present, designed as an Interactive Space that invites children and families to spend time together through learning based on four key factors: finding reasons, observing, being calm, and being open-minded. THINKK Studio has translated these concepts into the design of the space and furniture, ensuring practical use while stimulating children's development in movement, observation, and communication, as well as strengthening family relationships.

Within the space, there are various learning furniture pieces, including Rooting WindMill, a chair inspired by seeds, featuring a rubber flower windmill that children can spin and control to practice focus and concentration; Resilient Bloom Table, a cute table between steps with a flower building set designed for children and parents to engage in activities together; The Shade of Self, colorful translucent curtains that use natural light to create shadows and colors that change over time, helping to train deeper observation; Heartful Stools, designed to be movable and rearrangeable, allowing children to experiment with space and learn adaptability through hands-on use; and Bonding Bench, which can transform from a single seat to a bench for everyone, fostering a simple atmosphere of communication and coexistence in the same space.

The 8 partner companies that collaborated to create this beneficial space include Thai Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Uwork 999 Co., Ltd., Sinthak Construction Public Co., Ltd., Grand Home Mart Co., Ltd., THS Development Co., Ltd., Best Concrete Co., Ltd. (BCON), Chaiyo Steel and Stainless Co., Ltd., and Saktong (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (SB Furniture).

The Present Haus, a learning space for living mindfully in the present under the ThaiCom Foundation, is now officially open, featuring the immersive exhibition 'Lost & Flower' to welcome visitors.
