SCX Corporation, a subsidiary of SC Asset, partners with Japanese real estate giant Tokyo Tatemono Thailand to expand hotel business collaboration with a joint investment in 'voco Bangkok Siam' valued at 2.2 billion baht
SCX Corporation, a subsidiary of SC Asset, is advancing its collaboration with Tokyo Tatemono Thailand, a top-tier real estate partner from Japan, to jointly invest in the development of the 'voco Bangkok Siam' hotel project valued at 2.2 billion baht. This project is strategically located opposite the Siam Discovery shopping center, reinforcing international investor confidence following two previous joint ventures in the warehouse sector. The company is moving forward with its strategy as a Lifestyle Solution Provider, with plans to open the new hotel in 2029.
Mr. Natthapong Khunakarawong, CEO of SC Asset Corporation Public Company Limited, revealed that SCX Corporation, which manages recurring income businesses, has partnered with Tokyo Tatemono Thailand, a subsidiary of Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd., to expand its investment into the hotel sector through the 'voco Bangkok Siam' project valued at 2.2 billion baht, located opposite Siam Discovery. This will be the fourth voco hotel in Thailand under the IHG Hotels & Resorts brand.

“In a volatile economic environment, having a strong partner is crucial for sustainable success. Tokyo Tatemono is an international partner that has consistently believed in SC's vision and potential. This joint venture expands our collaboration from residential and warehouse leasing to the hospitality sector, and we are confident that this project will succeed just like our previous joint ventures,” Natthapong stated.
The voco Bangkok Siam hotel will be 29 stories high and is categorized as an Upscale Lifestyle hotel under the voco brand of IHG Hotels & Resorts. It is designed to meet the needs of modern travelers seeking convenience, individuality, and inspiring spaces. The hotel will feature 350 rooms, along with a restaurant, bar, fitness center, and a rooftop pool offering views of Bangkok's skyline. It will also include meeting rooms for business travelers and will provide easy access to Siam Paragon, Siam Square, MBK Center, and the BTS Siam station, with an expected opening in 2029.

Mr. Fumio Tajima, a senior executive at Tokyo Tatemono, stated that Tokyo Tatemono has consistently prioritized investments in the Thai real estate market due to its long-term potential in tourism, infrastructure, and urban development, especially in collaboration with partners who understand the market and share a compatible project development vision.
“The joint investment with SCX Corporation in the voco Bangkok Siam project combines the strengths of both organizations in understanding consumer behavior, developing quality-focused projects, and maintaining a long-term vision to create value for the city and its users. We believe this project will be another significant milestone in the development of Upscale Lifestyle hotels and reflects investor confidence in SCX Corporation and Thailand's hospitality market,” Mr. Fumio added.
Previously, SC Asset Corporation Public Company Limited, the parent company of SCX Corporation, announced an additional joint investment with Tokyo Tatemono Thailand in two new condominium projects launched this year, with a total project value of 20 billion baht.
