In an era where environmental challenges are increasingly severe, real estate development is not just about creating housing but about crafting spaces that coexist sustainably with nature. Thanasiri recognizes this importance and is committed to applying sustainability principles at every stage, from the initial land development to the completion of the project. Thanasiri invites you to follow a special interview with Mr. Natthapol Chomchaiya, Head of Business Development, to discuss the ideas and origins of the Thana Residence Kanchanaphisek Rama 9 project.

The project design begins with a layout that aligns homes in a north-south orientation to maximize natural light and airflow according to Thailand's climate. Public parks and the clubhouse are centrally located for easy access from all directions. The clubhouse is surrounded by various trees, and the swimming pool is positioned on the second floor to provide a 360-degree view and allow for infinity swimming. Additionally, placing the pool on the second floor helps absorb heat, keeping the lower clubhouse area cool throughout the day while allowing natural breezes to flow through.

Protecting and Preserving Large Trees: The Heart of the Project

Before developing the area, we prioritize preserving the existing environment at the project site because we believe that the concept of residential development begins with respecting and caring for the original environment. It is about sharing space between human habitation and nature, in line with the spirit of “co-creating a peaceful and warm society in every moment of life sustainably.” In particular, we focus on five large rain trees aged between 45-60 years. These trees are not just part of the landscape; they represent the history and lungs of the community. We carefully encircle and relocate these trees, designing the project (GREEN DESIGN) so that all five rain trees remain majestically in the front garden and the main garden of the village, serving as a symbol and an important landmark that provides shade and tranquility for homeowners and the community.

Clean Energy for a Better World

Thanasiri emphasizes the use of alternative energy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Our project has installed 10-kilowatt solar panels for each house, with installations in the show house and sales office. Additional panels are installed in public areas, above the guardhouses, at both exits of the project (Kanchanaphisek side and Sukapiban 2 road side), and on the roof of the central clubhouse. Overall, these installations can help reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 66,795 kilograms of CO2 equivalent per year (kgCO2e/year). This level of greenhouse gas reduction is equivalent to planting 7,420 trees, demonstrating our commitment to being part of the solution to global warming. Additionally, the project has prepared points for EV Charger installations to provide options for residents, reinforcing our Environmental Friendly & Energy Saving approach.

Sustainable Waste Management: Towards a Zero Waste Society

The concept of "Clean" is central to waste management in the project. We start by raising awareness and facilitating waste management from the source by installing segregated waste bins for food waste and general waste to encourage homeowners to sort their waste correctly, in accordance with the "No Mixing" policy of Bangkok. For general waste, we will enter the Circular Eco Model process to recycle waste for maximum reuse and reduce the amount of waste that needs to be disposed of.

Planting Trees for a Sustainable Future

Our project actively promotes tree planting in the area through the "1 Person 1 Tree" campaign to create green spaces in every corner of the project. A total of 387 trees will be planted, which can absorb up to 3,870 kilograms of CO2 equivalent per year (kgCO2e/year). Planting trees not only helps reduce greenhouse gases but also enhances shading, lowers temperatures, and naturally purifies the air, enriching the overall area in line with the concept of enhancing the quality of family life.

Mr. Sutthirak Sateerathayuth, CEO of Thanasiri Group Public Company Limited, emphasized the importance of sustainability and the impact on the environment. Although we are a small real estate company, we prioritize design and implement the Thana Green strategy in every dimension, from land procurement to residency. Social and environmental responsibility is a key issue that the company adheres to and integrates into every project design, including adopting carbon neutrality as a strategy for developing Thanasiri Group's products.
