• On June 24, 2025, the Cabinet approved a tax deduction measure (for the years 2025-2027) of up to 200,000 Baht for the installation of solar panels for residential homes with a power generation capacity of no more than 10 kilowatts.

• Investing in solar panel installation can reduce electricity bills by about 50% (1,500 – 6,000 Baht) and provide tax deductions ranging from 2,500 Baht to 96,000 Baht, with a payback period of approximately 2-6 years, depending on electricity size, installation costs, and tax base.

• The tax deduction for solar panel installation is suitable for 1) homes that use electricity during the day, 2) households with an income of more than 25,000 Baht/month, and 3) homes with monthly electricity bills between 2,000 – 12,000 Baht, as it allows for effective tax deductions and electricity cost reductions.
