National Housing Authority Launches Special Promotion: 30 Rental Projects Nationwide, 3,339 Units, Rent Reduced by 200 - 500 Baht to Alleviate Financial Burden for Low-Income Residents Starting July 1
Mr. Thaveepong Vichaidit, Governor of the National Housing Authority, announced that Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, recognizes the importance of creating opportunities for citizens to access affordable housing, especially for low-income individuals and vulnerable groups affected by the economic slowdown. This group is at risk in terms of economic and social survival. Therefore, he has instructed the National Housing Authority (NHA) to expedite proactive measures to reduce financial burdens and drive social housing projects to achieve tangible results.

The National Housing Authority is launching a special promotion by offering 30 rental projects nationwide, totaling 3,339 units, with a rent reduction of 200 - 500 Baht per month. The usual rent ranges from 1,200 - 2,500 Baht per month for a period of 6 months, from July 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025. To qualify for the rental discount, contracts must be signed between July 1, 2025, and August 30, 2025, to receive the reduced rent until December 31, 2025.
The participating rental projects are located in Bangkok and its vicinity, with 5 projects totaling 541 units, including Rama 4 Plus Housing Project, Samut Sakhon Rental Building (Kratumban 3), Phra Ruang Prasith Phase 1 Parts 1-2, and Thung Song Hong. Additionally, there are 25 regional rental projects totaling 2,798 units, including Ayutthaya (Rojana) Phase 1, Kanchanaburi Rental Building, Saraburi Government Housing (Rental), Chonburi (Laem Chabang), and Rayong (Government Housing Thap Pradu), Udon Thani (Sam Phrao), Ubon Ratchathani, Maha Sarakham, Lampang, Nakhon Sawan, Surat Thani 3 Government Housing, and Hat Yai.
The Governor of the National Housing Authority further stated that the NHA will provide rental discounts to four target groups: seniors aged 60 and above, persons with disabilities holding a disability card with an income not exceeding 30,000 Baht/month, holders of the state welfare card with an income not exceeding 100,000 Baht/year, recent graduates (First Jobbers) aged 18 - 29 years with an income not exceeding 30,000 Baht/month, and the general public aged 20 and above or legally married with an income not exceeding 30,000 Baht/month. Renters must be Thai nationals, of legal age, and not previously contracted with the NHA for a period of 6 months.
Regarding rental conditions, one person is allowed per room/contract, with a family size not exceeding 4 persons/room. A security deposit of 1 month's rent is required, and subletting is prohibited. If discovered, the rental rights will be revoked, and the room must be returned. The NHA will assess the qualifications of subletting applicants before proceeding with the contract. Additionally, documentation required for the rental contract includes a valid ID card for identity verification, current house registration, income certification, power of attorney (if applicable), name change documents (if any), parental consent (for First Jobbers aged 18 - 19), or marriage certificate.
