Ornsirin Holding Public Company Limited (ORN) has announced to its residents that following the earthquake event in Thailand, particularly in Chiang Mai province, the company has not been complacent. On the evening of March 28, 2025, the company promptly conducted a thorough inspection of all high-rise and low-rise projects under Ornsirin's management, carried out by specialized experts, management, and construction engineering teams. All condominium buildings, houses, commercial buildings, and common areas are in a safe condition with no structural damage and are ready for habitation.

Ornsirin has been developing residential projects, both low-rise and high-rise, in Chiang Mai for over 18 years. Currently, there are a total of 25 projects under the brands THE NEXT, THE ASTRA, THE ASTRA SKY RIVER, ARISE, ARISE VIBE, ARISE HILL, ORNSIRIN VILLE, HABITAT, HABITAT SUPERHIGHWAY, THE ESCAPE, and BELIVE. Given the geographical location of Chiang Mai, which is frequently affected by earthquakes, Ornsirin has a concept of developing and designing building structures for high-rise projects to withstand seismic forces according to the building regulations of the Ministry of Interior from 2007. The design uses the Spectral Acceleration (Sa) standard, which serves as an indicator of the severity of earthquakes affecting buildings.

According to regulations, high-rise buildings in Chiang Mai must be designed to withstand an Sa value of 0.3g, which is higher than the Sa value of 0.2g for buildings in Bangkok. Therefore, high-rise projects in Chiang Mai are designed to be approximately 1.5 times stronger than high-rise buildings in Bangkok to ensure safe earthquake resistance.

The Astra Condominium is classified as a high-rise building with a fundamental period of vibration of approximately 1.1 seconds and is also subject to design regulations to resist seismic forces according to the standard MOC-1302. This ensures that the building's structure is designed to effectively withstand earthquakes.

For Ornsirin's low-rise projects, construction and design comply with building control laws and standards set by the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning.

Although Ornsirin's high-rise and low-rise buildings have not been affected by the recent earthquake, the company has prepared measures to care for and instill confidence in residents across all projects. As a short-term measure, the company has hired building inspectors to continuously check all buildings to ensure that the structures are stable and strong. Additionally, the company is collaborating with local government agencies and the Faculty of Engineering at Chiang Mai University to issue certificates confirming the safety of habitation.

For medium-term measures, the company is ready to coordinate with designers to test the load-bearing capacity of the high-rise building structures and houses with relevant agencies/expert institutions in the next steps to assure residents that they can safely reside in the long term. Furthermore, the company will begin regular improvements to the interiors of buildings and common areas across all projects.

In addition, all high-rise projects of Ornsirin have insurance coverage for the units of residents, including common areas. The company will coordinate with insurance companies, the legal entity, and resident groups to provide assistance and repairs in the future.
