The 47th Housing and Condo Fair is set to launch grandly under the theme “Sustainable Living For Better Life,” responding to the global eco-friendly trend. The event aims to collaborate with both public and private sectors to enhance lending opportunities and reduce the loan rejection rate, stimulating the real estate market.

Dr. Donpiwat Pridawepat, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 47th Housing and Condo Fair, revealed that three organizing associations, namely the Housing Business Association, the Thai Condominium Association, and the Thai Real Estate Association, have joined forces to push the real estate sector forward. Despite facing several challenges in 2025, including persistently high interest rates, strict lending measures, and an increasing loan rejection rate—especially for homes priced between 3 million and 7 million baht—this event serves not only as a platform for buyers and sellers to meet but also as a crucial opportunity to negotiate with the government to push for measures to lower interest rates and adjust the LTV criteria appropriately.

“Recently, following a meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), leading banks have announced a gradual reduction in loan interest rates, lowering the policy rate by 0.25% from 2.25% to 2.00% per annum. This is a timely opportunity for the 47th Housing and Condo Fair, which has attracted major banks to support real estate lending. Additionally, the government is currently discussing LTV measures that may reach a conclusion soon. These two factors are expected to be significant drivers encouraging potential homebuyers to make decisions during the event, which will play a crucial role in revitalizing the real estate market,” Dr. Donpiwat stated.

This event is not only a comprehensive showcase of real estate products but also a hub for housing loan information from leading financial institutions, under the concept of 'Sustainable Living For Better Life' aimed at creating sustainability for both individuals and the planet. The fair will feature a variety of real estate projects along with leading financial institutions such as Bangkok Bank, Krung Thai Bank, Government Savings Bank, Kasikorn Bank, Land and Houses Bank, and top asset management companies providing consultation on loans and facilitating immediate loan applications during the event,” Dr. Donpiwat added.

However, with the rising trend of eco-friendly real estate, Mr. Haskorn Boonyang, Chairman of Public Relations for the 47th Housing and Condo Fair, added that modern consumers, especially Gen Y and Gen X, are increasingly prioritizing environmentally friendly properties. This event will therefore present concepts aligned with sustainability goals (SDGs) and showcase trends in eco-friendly homes, energy-saving features, environmentally friendly construction materials, and smart technologies for sustainable living.

“The organizers are launching an intensive marketing campaign, utilizing all media platforms to effectively reach the target audience. This event has prepared a comprehensive PR plan, both online and offline, covering Facebook, Instagram, Line OA, Website, YouTube, TikTok, and Google Ads. Additionally, collaborations with real estate KOLs such as GURU LIVING, SALE HERE, Yark Mee Baan Voi, and HOME ZOOMER, as well as advertisements on popular television programs and digital media in BTS and MRT transport systems, are also in place,” Mr. Haskorn stated.

Dr. Donpiwat further mentioned that the organizers aim for sales of 4 billion baht during the event amidst a Thai real estate market in 2025 that is still adjusting after facing strict financial measures, which may slow purchasing power, particularly among first-time homebuyers and middle-income groups. However, the market still has opportunities for recovery through economic stimulus measures, attracting foreign investors, and the adaptation of operators offering products that meet the needs of modern consumers, such as smart homes and eco-friendly projects, or even energy-efficient homes.

This year, the 47th Housing and Condo Fair is thus another important mechanism for driving the market by connecting buyers, sellers, and financial institutions, along with special offers and easier access to loans. Meanwhile, the real estate sector must continue to monitor monetary policy directions and infrastructure development, which may also be significant factors in stimulating the market in the second half of 2025.

“Visitors to the event will also have the chance to win special promotions, discounts, and prizes worth over 800,000 baht. Join us at the 47th Housing and Condo Fair from March 20 to 23 at Hall 5, LG Floor, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The event will feature over 1,000 real estate projects from 200 companies covering all locations and price ranges.
