Frasers Property Thailand's Industrial Real Estate Group has finalized a deal and is moving forward with the construction of a distribution center for Watsons Thailand in early 2025. This will serve as the main distribution hub for delivering products to over 750 branches nationwide, strategically located in Bang Phli, a logistics hotspot. The facility is designed as Built-to-Suit, featuring modern infrastructure and environmentally friendly design, ensuring efficient operations alongside sustainability.

Mr. Pirapat Srisukkhun, Managing Director of Frasers Property (Thailand) Public Company Limited (FPT), stated that the company is progressing with the construction of the distribution center for Watsons, Thailand's leading health and beauty retailer. Located in Frasers Property Logistics Center (Bang Phli 4), Samut Prakan, the facility will have a usable area of over 25,000 square meters. This will be Watsons' largest distribution center in Thailand, supporting the delivery of products to over 750 branches nationwide, with completion and operational readiness expected by April 2026.

“This collaboration with Watsons continues our strong partnership, following Frasers Property Thailand's successful development of three distribution centers for Watsons on Bangna-Trad Road in Samut Prakan, in Mueang District, Khon Kaen, and Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, covering over 30,000 square meters. This demonstrates our experience and expertise in developing logistics buildings that can be tailored to various business needs, setting standards and enhancing supply chain management for Thailand's health and beauty market,” Mr. Pirapat added.

This distribution center stands out with its central logistics location, connecting to Bangna-Trad Road, the Central Business District (CBD), and various regions for rapid delivery to branches. The building is designed as Built-to-Suit, accommodating vertical storage with a height of 15 meters and a floor load capacity of 5 tons per square meter, featuring diverse storage areas including Racking Systems, mezzanine storage, and temperature-controlled rooms for pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. It is also equipped to support automation systems to enhance operational efficiency.

Frasers Property Thailand has incorporated sustainable solutions into the environmentally friendly building design to reduce carbon footprints, aligning with Watsons' commitment to sustainable business practices. The construction will utilize recycled and sustainable materials, install rooftop solar panels for renewable energy production, and feature smart meters to monitor and optimize energy usage, along with LED lighting, water-saving fixtures, and sustainable waste management systems.

Mr. Alangkorn Sukrasorn, Director of Supply Chain at Central Watson Co., Ltd., stated that the new distribution center is developed to support the rapid growth of the health and beauty market, serving as a primary hub for storage and distribution. With a building designed with modern infrastructure and sustainable development principles, combined with its prime strategic transport location in Thailand, we are confident that our collaboration with Frasers Property Thailand will enhance Watsons' business operations and strengthen its logistics capabilities.
