Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), a Thai real estate developer focused on comprehensive lifestyle solutions, has signed an agreement to develop and manage two hotels with Hotel Okura Co., Ltd., a global hotel chain that combines the excellence of Japanese hospitality with top-notch accommodations and exquisite cuisine. This collaboration stems from a shared vision and a long-standing relationship between the two organizations, leading to the development of two significant new projects in Thailand: Okura Resort Chiang Mai, the first Okura-branded hotel in Northern Thailand, offering the world’s first luxury ryokan experience outside Japan, and The Okura Prestige Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel and Spa in the heart of Thonglor, featuring holistic health services and unique Japanese-style elements in a sky-high atmosphere. These hotel developments reflect a perfect blend of Japanese elegance and Thai cultural heritage, redefining luxury service and wellness offerings in the country. The collaboration for these new hotel developments has a total investment value of over 7.6 billion baht, supporting Thailand as a global sustainable tourism destination.

Okura Resort Chiang Mai will be the first Okura-branded hotel in Northern Thailand, located on Chang Klan Road, a major tourist destination known for its markets, shopping centers, local cuisine, and vibrant nightlife. It will feature over 200 meticulously designed rooms that blend traditional Japanese luxury with contemporary Lanna culture, including ryokan-style accommodations equipped with tatami mats, yukata, and private onsen, allowing guests to immerse themselves in a relaxing experience that combines Japanese culture with the rich traditions of the North, from architecture to exquisite cuisine. The hotel is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2028, featuring a unique Japanese-Lanna restaurant that combines local ingredients with Japanese cooking techniques, preparing to offer exquisite omakase and Lanna kaiseki dining experiences. Additionally, guests will enjoy a variety of facilities, including an onsen, spa, all-day dining restaurant, café, lounge, rooftop bar, and swimming pool.

Meanwhile, The Okura Prestige Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel and Spa will offer holistic health experiences and long-term stays in the Thonglor area, one of Bangkok's most prominent districts, providing a unique stay and warm hospitality with a sky lobby and Japanese-style rooftop bar featuring an outdoor garden, integrating health care with stunning views of the Bangkok skyline to provide guests with a space to relax and rejuvenate both body and mind. It will also feature other rooftop services and amenities, including an all-day dining restaurant, various specialty restaurants, and a rooftop bar offering panoramic city views. The Okura Prestige Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel and Spa will also offer authentic Onsen Suites and the timeless charm of unique ryokan-style accommodations, or choose to stay in Western-style rooms for comfort. The hotel will feature personalized health programs that integrate traditional Japanese health care practices with modern health trends, specially designed by professional nutritionists, along with hydrotherapy and mindfulness practices to rejuvenate both body and mind. The Okura Prestige Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel and Spa is scheduled to open in 2028 with over 200 rooms, blending contemporary design elements that incorporate nature to promote well-being (Biophilic) alongside traditional Japanese aesthetics.
