CP LAND Reinforces Its Commitment to Environmental Friendliness, Winning the MEA ENERGY AWARDS 2023 for Energy-Efficient Buildings for the 7th Consecutive Year
CP LAND Public Company Limited, a leading real estate developer in Thailand, has reaffirmed its success in energy conservation by winning the "MEA ENERGY AWARDS 2023" for the CP Tower 1 (Silom) in the STANDARD category for "Office Buildings" from the Metropolitan Electricity Authority. This award highlights the building's energy-saving standards as part of the initiative to promote energy efficiency improvements in buildings, under the concept of "efficient energy use and standard air quality."

Mr. Kirati Satasuk, CEO of CP LAND, stated that in line with the goals set by the Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) for carbon neutrality by 2030, which is just six years away, the company is also committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. CP LAND is aligning its plans with current global values that emphasize green energy, energy conservation, and sustainability, starting with small initiatives such as managing energy in its office buildings and upgrading machinery investments. This includes improving air conditioning systems, replacing cooling towers, and upgrading lighting systems to LED, which has led to a continuous reduction in electricity consumption and importantly, a decrease in CO2 emissions and other gases affecting air quality. This has enabled CP Tower 1 to receive recognition for its efficient energy use and standard air quality.

Additionally, the Avani Ratchada Bangkok Hotel (formerly Grand Fortune Hotel Bangkok), managed by CP LAND in partnership with Minor Hotels, has also won the MEA ENERGY AWARDS in the "Hotel" category, receiving both STANDARD and PREMIUM (PLATINUM) awards from the Metropolitan Electricity Authority. Ms. Chidchanok Pasinpong, General Manager of Avani Ratchada Bangkok, accepted the award along with a project support grant of 1 million baht.
