B.Grimm Power Signs 25-Year Solar Power Purchase Agreement with Government, Total Capacity of 323.3 MW, Ready for COD in 2026
B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited, through its subsidiaries and joint ventures, has signed a power purchase agreement with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) for a duration of 25 years. This agreement aims to jointly develop and operate ground-mounted solar power plants with a total capacity of 323.3 megawatts, scheduled to commence commercial operation (COD) from 2026 to 2030.
Dr. Harald Link , CEO of B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited, stated that participating in this project will help develop the clean energy business, expand investments in the ASEAN region, and increase the share of renewable energy. This aligns with the company's GreenLeap-Global and Green strategies to respond to the rapid changes in the energy world and the evolving demands of customers by providing stable, accessible, and sustainable energy for the industry, aiming to become a leading global energy producer.
Additionally, Dr. Harald Link mentioned that B.Grimm Power is committed to expanding investments in renewable energy power plants both domestically and internationally. The company has renewable energy projects under construction and development in several countries, including South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Cambodia, Greece, the United States, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, as well as Thailand. This investment expansion is a significant step towards the goal of increasing the share of renewable energy to over 50% to mitigate the impact of long-term natural gas price volatility and to expand business cooperation to create partnerships for further growth and business opportunities. The aim is to achieve a power generation capacity of 10,000 megawatts by 2030 and to reach the organizational goal of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065.
“B.Grimm Power is committed to continuously expanding investments in renewable energy businesses in line with the organization's vision to empower the world compassionately,” Dr. Harald Link concluded.
