Dr. Witthaya Sintharaporn, Senior Marketing Director of MQDC, the developer of the “Whizdom Craftz Samyan” condominium, stated that as the brand “Whizdom Craftz Samyan,” they are confident that collaborating with CEO Chula to organize the “Beat the Biz 2024 by Whizdom Craftz Samyan” competition will provide Chulalongkorn University students interested in starting their own businesses with a competitive platform, as well as opportunities to develop essential skills and knowledge from real business stakeholders. This activity aligns with the brand's vision and is consistent with MQDC's mission to conduct business for society, supporting knowledge-sharing activities to create a “society of skilled and good people” together.
“As Whizdom Craftz Samyan becomes part of the community in the Samyan-Rama IV-Banthat Thong-Yaowarat area, we are pleased to participate in this event. We see the “Beat the Biz 2024 by Whizdom Craftz Samyan” project as a valuable and interesting initiative, and we are eager to support it as a platform for students to express their ideas and abilities in developing various business models while studying, preparing them for the real business world after graduation. This competition will benefit students by providing them with opportunities to plan and expand their business ideas or apply the experiences gained to their own ventures. We are confident that the participating students will enhance their potential, making them valuable assets in the future development of the country,” Dr. Witthaya remarked.
Mr. Ranjan Tangkitngamwong, President of CEO Chula, stated that this year marks the 5th edition of the competition aimed at Chulalongkorn University students with ideas and intentions to start their own businesses. The “Beat the Biz 2024 by Whizdom Craftz Samyan” event aims to provide opportunities for Chulalongkorn students to start their own SMEs, which are crucial to Thailand's economic foundation and play a significant role in driving the Thai economy.
For this year's competition, CEO Chula intends to support Chulalongkorn students from all faculties and years who are interested in business and eager to learn through hands-on experience. The organizing committee is ready to create unique experiences filled with knowledge and fun for all participants.

Participants will gain knowledge and real experience in building their businesses from the ground up through various events and receive advice from business experts during consulting sessions, culminating in the final pitch where all contestants will present their work over nearly two months to a panel of esteemed judges and numerous guests. The competition will run from October 6, 2024, to November 16, 2024, during which participants will learn from over 40 renowned business stakeholders who will provide guidance and advice. Additionally, at the end of the competition, all teams will have the opportunity to sell their products at the CEO Festival, one of the most successful music and food festivals at Chulalongkorn University, which attracted over 8,000 attendees last year.
“My team and I at CEO Chula, along with the 45 organizing committee members, are grateful to all organizations interested in our activities. We believe this year's event will create excitement and inspiration for those interested in entrepreneurship, not just for Chulalongkorn students. We expect powerful success year after year and hope our event will ignite a spark in everyone interested to start their businesses knowledgeably and systematically from the beginning, aiming for sustainable success. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to learn and share the wonderful stories that will unfold throughout this competition with everyone,” Mr. Ranjan stated.
Mr. Chanweer Homtoey, CEO of Shinkanzen Sushi, and Mr. Warit Boulkul, CEO & Co-Founder of Acai Story, representatives from the advisory committee for the competition (Stakeholders), commented on their involvement in organizing “Beat the Biz 2024,” noting that the evident growth and increasing interest in the event over the past four years is remarkable. Having had the opportunity to work with Chulalongkorn students, they found that the project's strength lies in the tangible outcomes of the competition. They hope that participating students will develop ideas for SMEs and strategies to strengthen their brands nationally, becoming recognized in the business sector. Many cases have compelling stories of brand journeys from day one, which are interesting and worth following, allowing them to expand their impact while accumulating diverse knowledge to share with society, inspiring future generations and those interested in starting their own businesses.
