Explorar Koh Samui Resort and Spa places great importance on excellence in food quality and service, thus hosting the Gastronomic Series featuring renowned Michelin chefs to create special meals for our valued guests for the second consecutive year.

The first event of the new year 2024 will be held at Explorar Koh Samui Resort and Spa, in collaboration with renowned French produce expert Chef Frédéric Jaunault, who is the founder of the Institute of Fruits and Vegetables in France and was honored as “MOF Primeur” or the Master Craftsman of France in the category of fruits and vegetables in 2011. Chef Frédéric is also an expert in sculpture and vegetable carving, with experience working in prestigious hotels in France, America, and Bermuda, and frequently appears on French television.

This special event will feature Chef Frédéric alongside Chef Raphael Kinimo, a French cuisine expert and the Director of Food at Explorar Koh Samui Resort and Spa, creating 8 exquisite menus that emphasize supporting the local community in Koh Samui by elevating local ingredients to fine dining standards, under the framework of sustainable development.

In addition to his culinary skills, Chef Frédéric is also passionate about education, making his first trip to Thailand to participate in activities with Explorar Koh Samui Resort and Spa and conducting workshops on carving for several schools on Koh Samui to inspire the younger generation interested in culinary arts.
