Kasikornbank Opens Branch in Beijing to Expand Services for Customers in Thailand, ASEAN, and China
Kasikornbank (China) has opened a new branch in Beijing, China, marking its fifth branch to strengthen service offerings in the region, supporting trade growth and addressing the increasing investment expansion from China. The bank aims to become a trusted regional bank in the AEC+3 (A Regional Bank of Choice) , focusing on businesses involved in trade and investment between China and Thailand, as well as extending to ASEAN countries and linking regional economies. The bank will leverage digital technology to deliver services and present banking platforms that capitalize on its strategic service network. The goal is to generate over 5 billion baht in revenue for Kasikornbank in China within three years.

Mr. Pipit Aneknithi, Managing Director of Kasikornbank stated that the bank has been operating as a locally incorporated institution in China since 2017, focusing on services that help local customers access loans to create opportunities for life and business development under the concept of “Better Me and Better SMEs” through digital service channels. This is complemented by connecting Chinese business customers with the AEC+3 region through its local service network, which includes branches in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Shanghai, and the recently opened Beijing branch, which serves as a significant step in the bank's business expansion. Given China's strong market potential, the Beijing branch will act as a bridge connecting the economies of China, Thailand, and other ASEAN countries. Additionally, there are plans to develop economic opportunities for corporate and individual customers in line with the “One Belt, One Road Initiative.”

The Beijing branch will serve as a key operational center for Kasikornbank (China), providing comprehensive services to Chinese individual customers seeking loans and Chinese business clients looking to invest in Thailand and ASEAN, as well as Thai-ASEAN businesses aiming to expand into China. The focus will be on businesses within the value chain of China-ASEAN, emphasizing investment services and trade financing, including value chain financing. Furthermore, there is a long-term goal to establish a modern digital business foundation while conducting banking operations based on financial innovation and sustainable development.
In addition to its service network in China, the bank will continue its operations in the AEC+3 region by enhancing digital technology capabilities to provide comprehensive financial and other services that meet current demands. The bank will present platforms that leverage its service network in key strategic areas across the region, facilitating connections between China and AEC+3, thereby enhancing the bank's participation in the digital era. The bank is committed to being the most trusted regional bank in AEC+3 (A Regional Bank of Choice) and expects to generate over 5 billion baht in revenue for Kasikornbank in China within three years.
