Mr. Traitecha Tangmattatham, Managing Director of Supalai Public Company Limited, stated that since mid-2022, the real estate market in Chonburi has shown continuous growth due to demand from both foreign and Thai customers. Supalai has been developing residential projects and condominiums in Chonburi for over 10 years, with a total of 22 projects valued at 19.24 billion baht. Supalai is one of the developers from Bangkok that understands customer needs as well as local developers in Chonburi. In 2022, projects in Chonburi achieved the highest sales in the regional market, totaling over 2 billion baht, maintaining the number one position for five consecutive years.

Recently, Supalai has identified new opportunities from the demand for homes among the wealthy in Chonburi, thus introducing a new segment to target the luxury home market under the brand “Essence.” The project “Supalai Essence Ang Sila” is a new series of luxury 3-story homes valued at 1.2 billion baht, featuring a modern luxury design with 147 units on over 29 rai of land, priced from 4.5 to 18 million baht. The response has been very positive, with sales reaching 150 million baht even before the pre-sale, and in the second to third quarters of 2024, the company plans to launch two more projects in Chonburi, in Sattahip and Ban Bueng.

Supalai has already invested in 28 provinces, and in 2022, regional sales reached over 14 billion baht, accounting for 42% of total sales. The top five provinces with the highest sales are Chonburi (15%), Phuket (13%), Rayong (10%), Chiang Mai (9%), and Songkhla (8%).

For this year, Supalai is continuing to expand in the regional market by preparing to launch new projects in five new provinces: Lamphun, Lampang, Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi, and Chanthaburi, aiming for sales to increase to 15 billion baht. In the first half of the year, the company achieved total sales of 17.285 billion baht, which is lower than the same period last year due to customers delaying their purchasing decisions and property transfers during the election period.

Mr. Rajchai Piyawachanasorn, Assistant Managing Director, mentioned that Chonburi is an attractive location in the regional market due to the unique insights of customers, including the demand for homes located along employee transport routes to industrial estates, as well as projects near shortcut roads. Although prices may be slightly higher, homes in these locations tend to sell better than those on main roads, as most customers work in industrial estates and want to avoid traffic congestion.

Regarding land prices, it is acknowledged that over the past 10 years, land prices in Chonburi have doubled since 2013, with prices ranging from approximately 10,000 to 60,000 baht per square wah, now reaching 90,000 to 130,000 baht per square wah, making the development of new projects in this area as challenging as in other locations.

The Supalai Essence Ang Sila” project is the latest luxury offering from Supalai, featuring single-family homes, duplexes, and luxury 3-story townhomes, totaling 147 units on over 29 rai of land. The project is located adjacent to Ang Sila main road, about 3.8 km from Sukhumvit Road, close to amenities in the heart of Chonburi, such as Central Chonburi, Makro, Ekachai Hospital 2, Chonburi Hospital, Samitivej Chonburi Hospital, and Chonrath School, among others.
