Ms. Anarin Cholsai Phan, Manager of Phumiphat Management Co., Ltd. stated that the company currently operates as a manufacturer and exporter of synthetic leather and also has an apartment business in Phaya Thai, Salaya, and Samut Sakhon, giving them a strong understanding of the area. The Phetkasem – Om Noi zone has a large residential population but lacks many amenities, which inspired the idea to develop over 30 rai of land along Phetkasem Road, near Soi Phetkasem 124-126, into the ‘The Spheres Phetkasem’ community mall that aims to better serve the lifestyle needs of the local residents and attract customers from Bangkok, Nakhon Pathom, and Samut Sakhon.

The family has allocated an investment budget of around one billion baht, which includes 540 million baht for land acquisition and 400 million baht for construction. The ‘The Spheres Phetkasem’ project will be developed in two phases, with the first phase utilizing 18 rai for a 1-2 story retail space covering a total area of 11,000 square meters, accommodating over 150 shops. Approximately 70% of the space will focus on food and beverage outlets, while around 30% will cater to lifestyle retail and services, along with parking for over 550 cars and motorcycles.

Recently, the ‘The Spheres Phetkasem’ project has begun laying the foundation and constructing the building, with over 30% progress on the piling work. The area is expected to be ready for tenant shops to start decorating in early next year, with an anticipated opening in the third quarter of 2024. Phase 2 is expected to develop an additional 12 rai into a fresh market to cater to a broader customer base. Initially, the response from customers will be monitored, and if demand increases, Phase 2 will be developed immediately.

The ‘The Spheres Phetkasem’ project is set to be the largest community mall in the Phetkasem – Om Noi area, featuring a collection of renowned restaurants from the province, shabu shops, coffee shops, and leading fast-food outlets all in one location. Currently, there are few community malls in this area, which do not meet customer demand. Additionally, the ‘The Spheres Phetkasem’ project plans to collaborate with the province to develop the project into a tourist attraction or a stopover for visitors heading to famous tourist spots like Samphran Crocodile Farm or Amphawa.

Nevertheless, the ‘The Spheres Phetkasem’ project is preparing to launch in the third quarter of 2024, operating daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. It is expected that during the initial phase, there will be around 3,000 visitors on weekdays and approximately 5,000 visitors on weekends.
