National Housing Authority Extends 'Special Rental Room' Promotion for Another 3 Months, Offering Over 6,000 Units Nationwide Starting at Just 40 Baht per Day from Today Until July 31, 2023
The National Housing Authority has extended the 'Special Rental Room' promotion for another 3 months, ending on July 31, 2023, originally set to expire on April 30, 2023. This initiative aims to assist low-income individuals and vulnerable households across the country in accessing housing more easily.

Mr. Thaveepong Vichaidit, Governor of the National Housing Authority, revealed that the special rental rooms available nationwide are part of a promotional gift for the public, consisting of 22 projects in Bangkok and its vicinity, offering 2,697 units, and 57 projects in regional areas, providing 3,434 units. In total, there are 79 projects with 6,131 units available, excluding the Khaohasak Pracha Housing Project, Rama IV Plus Housing Project, the Pattaya Community Housing Project Phase 2, and rental buildings for low-income individuals in four areas: Phang Nga, Kanchanaburi, Samut Prakan (Bang Phli), and Lopburi Phase 1, which are not included in this special promotion. Prices start at just 1,200 and 1,500 Baht per month, averaging 40 and 50 Baht per day.
Mr. Thaveepong stated that the goal of the special rental room promotion is to assist low-income individuals and vulnerable households in accessing housing more easily. Tenants must have a household income not exceeding 30,000 Baht per month, and they are not required to pay a rental deposit or utility meter deposits. The rental contract lasts for 8 months (from May 1 to December 31, 2023), with one rental right per person per room/contract, accommodating families of no more than 4 people per room.
