Advanced Information Technology Public Company Limited (AIT) has showcased its performance for Q1/2023, generating over 1.297 billion baht in revenue and a net profit of 97 million baht. This follows the gradual recognition of income from several large project deliveries, as the company advances its cybersecurity initiatives and sets a revenue target of 7 billion baht for this year.

Mr. Siripong Unthapan, Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of AIT, a leader in information technology and communication, disclosed that for Q1/2023 (January – March), the company reported revenue of 1.297 billion baht, a decrease from 1.399 billion baht in the same period last year, with a net profit of 97 million baht, down from 166 million baht the previous year. The primary reason for this decline was a special profit of 108.6 million baht from the complete sale of investments in Genesis Data Center Co., Ltd. in Q1/2022. Significant projects delivered in Q1/2023 include the development of a government platform to comply with the Personal Data Protection Act for the National Digital Economy and Society Commission, the procurement and development of geographic information for research and policy-making for the Social Security Office, and the development of a train tracking system and freight management for the State Railway of Thailand.

The CEO of AIT further stated that for the remainder of 2023, the company expects continuous growth in performance in line with the economic recovery trend. Both public and private sectors are likely to increase spending on software and IT services, extending to regional organizations, to meet the demands of all sectors seeking to restructure through digital transformation. Additionally, AIT is committed to enhancing cybersecurity for organizations, including clients and partners, which requires multi-layered protection across computers, networks, programs, or data that need safeguarding, supported by both technology systems and personnel within the organization. This will strengthen security and efficiency against cyberattacks.

Nonetheless, the company is focusing on marketing Cloud Platforms, Big Data Analytics, SDN, Cyber Security, and IoT, in addition to its ICT infrastructure sales, to meet all customer needs effectively. By selecting high-quality products and services that best suit customer requirements, AIT has consistently earned customer trust. This will drive AIT's performance towards its revenue target of 7 billion baht this year, partly supported by a backlog of work valued at 5.5 billion baht as of May 5, 2023, along with an additional 60 million baht in pending orders from clients, primarily from the public sector and state enterprises.
