Three Major Real Estate Associations Collaborate with Major Banks for the 43rd Home and Condo Expo to Address Thai People's Hesitance to Buy Homes
Three major real estate associations are enhancing the 43rd Home and Condo Expo to drive the real estate market more effectively, addressing the challenges of 'difficult buying and slow selling' with Financial Advisory services.
Dr. Vichian Patthayanun, CEO of Chao Phraya Mahakhan Public Company Limited and Chairman of the organizing committee for the 43rd Home and Condo Expo, stated, “The Thai Real Estate Association, the Housing Developers Association, and the Thai Condominium Association aim to elevate the significance of the Home and Condo Expo to be a platform that helps Thai people easily become 'homeowners.' Currently, there are many factors causing people to hesitate in buying homes, and sellers are also facing difficulties in selling. The mechanisms within the real estate business are not functioning at full capacity. In reality, this issue requires collaboration from the government, financial institutions, and private operators to work together to resolve the situation.”
“The three associations are trying to enhance the role of the expo to serve as a Financial Advisory platform for loan services. It will be a central venue bringing together developers, leading financial institutions, and consumers, allowing buyers to choose from thousands of projects presented by operators, along with exclusive promotions available only at the event. Once they find their desired home, they can seek advice or apply for loans with financial institutions. This year, we have already received support from Kasikorn Bank, Siam Commercial Bank, and UOB. Aspiring homeowners will once again have hope in applying for loans correctly and have a better chance of approval, while banks can quickly screen quality customers and assess borrowers' repayment capabilities, helping to reduce the rate of NPLs. Meanwhile, operators will be able to sell their existing products, creating a win-win situation for all parties involved, addressing the current challenges of 'difficult buying and slow selling' and keeping the real estate market moving forward. Although this is a small effort, if successful, we will see significant financial movement,” he added.
Mr. Theerawat Pipatditakun, Head of Public Relations for the 43rd Home and Condo Expo, mentioned, “Surveys from previous events show that attendees are increasingly from the Gen Y family group, who are equipped with IT devices, constantly use the internet, and access information through social media channels. Therefore, the public relations team has chosen the theme for this event to resonate with the Gen Y target audience: 'Up Life by Live' or 'Upgrade Life for Comfort, Choose Easier than Ever,' which reflects the event's ability to meet Gen Y's needs perfectly. This includes a help center with staff and a data analysis system based on needs and housing sources to provide options and advice for attendees.”
“For our public relations plan, we focus on disseminating news and advertisements through various online media, including the expo's own channels such as Facebook, IG, Line OA, Website, YouTube, and TikTok. We also promote through Google in the form of banner ads via Google Display Network and SEM to ensure the event appears on Google's front page by selecting comprehensive keywords. Additionally, we utilize well-known KOLs in the real estate industry to create promotional content across various platforms before and during the event,” Mr. Theerawat stated.
“In addition to social media, to reach the target audience as broadly as possible, the public relations team has continuously used mainstream media to promote the event up to the opening ceremony, ensuring that news is consistently available through news channels. We also utilize Out of Home media to broadcast 15-30 second advertisements on screens in the MRT and on Digital Billboards in Asoke, Klongtoey, the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, and the Bonkai area heading towards Klongtoey, as well as through popular television programs like 'Midday News' on Channel 3,” Mr. Theerawat added.
For those dreaming of becoming 'homeowners,' this dream can become a reality at the 43rd Home and Condo Expo, taking place from March 23-26 at Hall 5, LG Floor, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The event will feature booths from over 200 companies showcasing more than 1,000 real estate projects covering all types, prices, and locations.
