"LPC Social Enterprise" Plans 3-Year Initiative to Create Job Opportunities for 2,000 Underprivileged Women
"LPC Social Enterprise" has laid out a 3-year plan (2023-2025) to improve the quality of life and create job opportunities for no less than 2,000 underprivileged women. The goal is to achieve continuous revenue growth of at least 5% per year, moving towards sustainable social enterprise.
Ms. Suraswadi Suewaja, Managing Director of LPC Social Enterprise Co., Ltd. (LPC), a social enterprise under LPN Development Public Company Limited, which provides cleaning services in office buildings and residential complexes, as well as other services, discussed the organization's plans to drive its mission as a social enterprise focused on improving the quality of life and income stability for underprivileged women and the elderly in society during 2023-2025. She stated that as a social enterprise, the primary goal is to enhance the quality of life and income security for employees who are underprivileged women and the elderly. The company plans to develop personnel to provide quality cleaning services in office buildings, commercial spaces, residences, and communities according to international standards, while expanding its service network beyond projects managed by LPN Development Public Company Limited to create opportunities for underprivileged women and the elderly to secure stable and sustainable income.

"As of the end of 2022, we have employed over 1,600 underprivileged women and elderly individuals, accounting for 65% of our total workforce of approximately 2,500 employees. In 2023, we aim to increase the employment of underprivileged women and the elderly to 1,700, maintaining the same 65% ratio within a target workforce of over 2,600. By 2025, we expect to reach 2,000 underprivileged women and elderly employees in line with our expansion plans and the company's growth trajectory of at least 5% per year," she added.
The employment of one underprivileged woman or elderly person can alleviate social burdens and simultaneously create educational opportunities for at least 1-2 family members. By providing stable jobs for nearly 2,000 employees, we can create educational opportunities for an additional 2,000-4,000 family members. This is our (LPC) goal in driving the organization to be part of solving social issues and creating opportunities for society," Ms. Suraswadi stated.

According to the plan, in 2023, the company aims to expand its cleaning services for common areas, unit interiors, reception staff, and drivers, increasing its service provision from projects managed by LPN to more external projects. As of the end of 2022, the company serviced a total of 252 projects, divided into LPN and external projects at a ratio of 70:30. In 2023, we plan to increase our service to 270 projects, adding 15-20 projects, which is expected to generate revenue of 525 million baht, a 5% increase from the total revenue of 500 million baht in 2022, with continuous growth of at least 5% in 2024-2025.
"As a social enterprise, all profits generated from our operations will be reinvested back into our members, which are our employees. The difference between us and regular profit-seeking companies is that every baht of profit goes back to our employees in the form of wages that exceed the market rate in the same industry by 10%. Additionally, we prioritize developing welfare systems for our employees, including providing knowledge and assistance in resolving informal debt issues to ensure our employees have a better quality of life," Ms. Suraswadi explained.
Currently, LPC employs approximately 2,500 people, with 492 employees in informal debt. Through educating employees on saving and managing debt burdens, employees in the informal debt group have been able to continuously reduce their debt and increase savings. Furthermore, we provide educational benefits to 383 employees at all levels, including scholarships for employees' children, which is crucial for empowering our underprivileged women and elderly personnel to reintegrate into society as capable individuals and create opportunities for their family members, thereby reducing social issues," Ms. Suraswadi stated.
"LPC's goal under the 3-year strategic plan (2023-2025) is to become a sustainable social enterprise that contributes to the development of underprivileged women and the elderly, enabling them to generate income and support their families without being a burden on society, while also fostering quality families that can give back to the community. To achieve this, we plan to develop the organization by incorporating technology to support and enhance employee work, while simultaneously improving knowledge to increase work efficiency and create opportunities for continuous business expansion, maintaining revenue growth for both the organization and employees, to be part of building a sustainable society in the future, as stable families are the foundation of a good society," Ms. Suraswadi concluded.
LPC Social Enterprise Co., Ltd. (LPC), a subsidiary of LPN Development Group, provides cleaning and other services to the community to ensure comprehensive and efficient service standards. LPC, formerly known as Lumpini Property Service and Care Co., Ltd., was established in 2011 before transitioning from a limited company to a social enterprise in 2018, aiming to be part of the solution to social issues by sharing job opportunities with underprivileged women and the elderly, providing them with stable careers, supporting family quality of life, and improving overall living standards.
Currently, there are approximately 2,500 employees, with over 1,600 being underprivileged women and elderly individuals, including women with low education who are sole breadwinners, those who have been exploited in employment, elderly individuals aged 60 and above, and persons with disabilities. LPC opens job opportunities for these women to work as community service staff, including cleaning staff, community receptionists, and drivers, while also providing educational opportunities and skill development to meet international standards, enabling them to be self-reliant and a support to their families both now and in the future.
