Transforming Silom Real Estate: From Traditional Business District to a New Billion-Baht Hub in the City
Exploring the location of “Silom”“Silom”, a central economic and residential area, is set to become vibrant once again thanks to major investments from Dusit Thani, Minor International, and Frasers Property, launching a billion-baht project in the heart of the city. This initiative is supported by the “We Love Silom Association”, a group of 13 Silom entrepreneurs, creating a new dimension for driving “community-city-economy” forward together.

“Silom” is a central urban area surrounded by job opportunities, residences, and commercial activities. Although the atmosphere and vibrancy were affected during the COVID-19 pandemic, everything is about to change, both economically and socially. In terms of location potential, Silom ranks among the highest in land prices. According to the Department of Lands' land appraisal prices for 2022, the estimated land price on Silom Road ranges from 700,000 to 1,000,000 baht per square wah. On the social front, the We Love Silom Association, a group of Silom entrepreneurs collaborating on local development, is also making notable progress.
Data from the Thai Real Estate Research and Valuation Center, Agency for Real Estate Affairs (AREA) indicates that Silom is an ideal location for living, working, and urban lifestyle, thanks to its connectivity to transportation routes, including the BTS Skytrain and MRT subway. From Silom, one can easily access various key areas of Bangkok. Additionally, it serves as a business hub and financial center, with an environment conducive to urban living and working.

‘Silom’ is an economic road that is about to transform.
The vibrancy in the Silom area is set to return as major investors announce the development of projects, starting with the Park Silom, a collaboration between Nyan Estate and Minor International, pushing forward a mixed-use commercial and office building project under the concept of New Breed of Silom, which aims to provide comprehensive services that cater to urban living and lifestyle.
Park Silom is a 39-story building featuring a community mall, office spaces, co-working areas, and retail spaces with over 65,000 square meters of rental space, representing an investment of over 15 billion baht, set to open in early 2022.

The corner lot on Silom Road, previously home to Robinson Silom, is being transformed into a mixed-use project developed by Frasers Property (Thailand) Public Company Limited, comprising 12,000 square meters of office space and 10,000 square meters of retail space, with an investment of over 1.8 billion baht, scheduled to open in September 2022.
The corner lot on Silom Road, which once housed the Dusit Thani Hotel, is also set for a makeover with a new name, Dusit Central Park, a project developed in collaboration between Dusit Thani and CPN, valued at over 40 billion baht, comprising hotels, residences, shopping centers, and office buildings over 440,000 square meters on more than 23 rai.
This project caters to urban lifestyle enthusiasts with contemporary, upscale designs, featuring 230 units targeting young professionals and small families, available as long-term leasehold properties.
The We Love Silom Association is a driving force for the business district and community.
The launch of 13 entrepreneurs on Silom Road under the name “We Love Silom Association” marks a new social dimension and economic expansion, demonstrating that these two aspects can work together and grow simultaneously.

Ms. Oradee Na Ranong, President of the We Love Silom Association and Director of Nyan and RGP Development Co., Ltd. revealed that this area attracts 56,000 people daily, with an additional 60,000 using the BTS and MRT routes, not including a significant number of tourists, making this area bustling with activities and people.
The potential of entrepreneurs in the Silom area and the location's capabilities led to the idea of establishing the “Silom Road Landscape Improvement Project,” focusing on development in four main areas: Easy, Comfortable, Safe, and Landscape, through collaboration among three partners: the Thai Town Planning Association, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (TSHF), and the We Love Silom Association.
“Starting with sidewalk improvements on Silom Road in early June 2022, the association plans to develop other areas in the future to accommodate various activities and cater to diverse groups of people at different times, such as @Silom, an open space for creative works.”
“We Love Silom Association” was officially launched on July 12, 2022, comprising 13 members operating businesses in the Silom area, including Thaniya Building, Liberty Building, Kasikorn Bank, Bangkok Bank, Bangkok Christian Hospital, Silom Edge, Southeast Insurance Building, Yada Building, Dusit Central Park Group, Carabao Building, Ibis Hotel, CP Tower, and Park Silom Building, all sharing the common goal of promoting and developing the urban community in Silom and enhancing collaboration among Silom entrepreneurs.
