Origin Reports First Half 2022 Sales of 17.7 Billion Baht, Surpassing 51% of Annual Target; 20 New Projects Worth 26.5 Billion Baht Planned for Second Half
“Origin Property” showcases success in the first half of the year with strong sales of 17.772 billion baht, exceeding 51% of the annual target. After the second quarter of 2022, the company achieved impressive results with over 9.623 billion baht, highlighting standout projects like “Brixton Campus Bangsaen” which captured the niche market, and “Origin Plug & Play Nonthaburi Station” and “So Origin Kaset Interchange” which appealed to Gen Y and high-end consumers, achieving sales of 70-90%. The key to success lies in understanding consumer needs, developing products that meet modern market demands, and launching campaigns like “Multiverse of Sales” and “Super Strong Promotions” to maintain momentum. The company is confident that the market will remain strong in the second half, supported by various positive factors, and plans to launch an additional 20 projects worth 26.5 billion baht, aiming for total sales to exceed 35 billion baht, setting an All Time High record.
Mr. Pirapong Jaroonaek, CEO of Origin Property Public Company Limited (ORI), a comprehensive real estate developer, revealed that in the first half of 2022 (Jan-Jun 2022), the company achieved cumulative sales from residential projects totaling 17.772 billion baht, growing over 13% from the same period in 2021, representing 51% of the annual target of 35 billion baht.
Sales were divided into 73% from condominium projects and 27% from housing projects. In terms of project status, 61% of sales came from ready-to-move-in projects, while approximately 39% were from newly launched or ongoing construction projects. In the second quarter of 2022 (Apr-Jun 2022), the company achieved sales of over 9.623 billion baht, marking a new All Time High for the company.
Notably, new projects that consistently generated sales include condominiums targeting Gen Y consumers, such as Origin Plug & Play Sirindhorn Station and Origin Plug & Play Nonthaburi Station, which have accumulated sales of over 70%, and the high-end consumer-targeted project So Origin Kaset Interchange, which has accumulated sales of over 90%. Additionally, the new project targeting the niche market in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), Brixton Campus Bangsaen, sold out quickly within one month. “Although Origin Plug & Play, Brixton, and So Origin are new brands launched last year and this year, we continue to earn consumer trust because we have diligently researched customer insights, adapted quickly, and developed each project to meet the needs of the modern market, including creating Duo Space rooms with 4.2-meter high ceilings for a spacious living experience, launching pet-friendly condominiums in various locations, and running vibrant campaigns like “Multiverse of Sales” and “Super Strong Promotions” at Siam Paragon, providing consumers access to quality condominiums at affordable prices,” said Mr. Pirapong.
Mr. Pirapong further stated that for the second half of 2022, the company will continue to monitor various important issues affecting people's lives, the economic situation, and the real estate market, such as the spread and severity of COVID-19 variants Omicron BA.4 and BA.5, inflation, and changes in housing loan interest rates. However, the company is confident that both the government and private sectors involved will continue to address all these factors seriously, while consumer purchasing power in many segments is still expected to grow, as evidenced by the absorption rates of projects in various locations, which remain positive.
The company is ready to launch an additional 20 residential projects in the second half of the year, with a total project value of over 26.5 billion baht as planned. This includes 10 condominium projects valued at approximately 15.6 billion baht, targeting Gen Z, Gen Y, high-end, and super luxury markets, and 10 housing projects valued at approximately 10.9 billion baht, marking a significant push during the high season after only launching 2 new projects in the first half.
By closely monitoring the situation and being prepared to adapt to all external factors, the company is confident that it will achieve sales exceeding 35 billion baht and set an All Time High as targeted.
