HBA Announces Success of 'Home Building and Materials FOCUS 2022' Event with Booking Revenue Soaring to Nearly 4 Billion Baht in 5 Days! Homes Priced Between 2.5-5 Million Baht Are the Most Popular!
The Home Builder Association (HBA) has announced the success of the 'Home Building and Materials FOCUS 2022' event, which took place over five days from March 30 to April 3, 2022. The event attracted over 10,000 visitors and generated a revenue of 3.6 billion baht, marking a significant increase of 70% compared to the same period in 2021. It is anticipated that there will be a substantial increase in home bookings following the event, with the top three popular home price ranges being 2.5 - 5 million baht, followed by 5 - 10 million baht, and homes priced over 10 million baht. This reflects an overall improvement in the home building market as consumers begin to ease their concerns about the economic situation and are more willing to invest.

Mr. Worawut Kanjanakul, President of the Home Builder Association (HBA), revealed the success of the 'Home Building and Materials FOCUS 2022' event, stating that during the five days from March 30 to April 3, 2022, at Impact Hall 8, Muang Thong Thani, the event received an overwhelmingly positive response from consumers who came to view over 1,000 new home designs and various special promotions. This stimulated decision-making for home bookings, resulting in a total revenue of 3.6 billion baht, which is a 70% increase compared to the same period last year. It is expected that there will be another significant wave of sales following the event, driven by several factors that encourage consumer purchasing decisions, such as rising construction costs and labor rates.
“Every year, the booking revenue is around 1.8 - 1.9 billion baht. Last year, the booking revenue during the event was 2.1 billion baht. Given the ongoing COVID-19 situation and the gradual recovery of the economy, we set our target at the same level of 2.1 billion baht, but the response has exceeded expectations, with over 10,000 visitors attending the event,”
He further noted that consumer interest in home bookings during the event was concentrated in three main price groups: homes priced at 2.5 - 5 million baht accounted for 45% of bookings, followed by homes priced at 5 - 10 million baht at 32%, and homes priced over 10 million baht at 21%. Homes priced below 2.5 million baht made up only 2%. In terms of booking value, homes priced over 10 million baht represented the highest total value at 69%.

Mr. Worawut continued, “In addition to the strong purchasing power exceeding our target for this event, the data collected from attendees indicates positive signals for the home building market this year, particularly with a younger demographic of attendees and home buyers, primarily aged 35 - 40 years, who are forming families. This group has increased compared to previous events.”
Moreover, this event featured home building companies from various provinces showcasing their home designs along with special promotions from Korat, Sakon Nakhon, Maha Sarakham, Udon Thani, and Chanthaburi, which received significant interest from consumers.
“The association has observed positive signals from various sectors, including consumer confidence, especially among those who already own land, making it easier for them to decide to build homes. Additionally, home building companies see the overall market gradually recovering, and the home building sector is one of the businesses expected to help stimulate the country's economy,” Mr. Worawut concluded.
