A-One Group Invests Over 250 Million Baht to Renovate Hotels as Tourism Recovers, Accelerating Strategies to Target Family and Asian Markets
A-One Hotel Group anticipates a recovery in tourism, driven by Thai people's adaptation to the New Normal. They are investing 250 million baht to renovate A-One Pattaya Hotel and prepare to launch a "Kids Club" to target family markets while adjusting strategies to attract Asian tourists to replace the declining European market due to the Russia-Ukraine war, aiming for a 20% growth this year.

Mr. Somchai Rattanopas, CEO of A-One Hotel Group, stated that the rising COVID-19 cases have continuously impacted the hotel and tourism business for over two years. A-One Group has prepared plans to adapt to the situation and aims to be part of the solution by collaborating with Vichaiyut Hospital to share part of A-One Bangkok Hotel's space to offer Hospitel and Alternative State Quarantine (AQ) services, as the hotel has spacious rooms and is conveniently located near major roads like Sukhumvit, making it easy for travelers returning from abroad to quarantine while awaiting RT-PCR results as mandated by the government.
All operations are conducted under strict epidemic prevention measures, alongside the regular operation of A-One Bangkok Hotel in another building, attracting three target groups: Medical Tourism or Wellness Tourism guests staying long-term, regular tourists staying short-term, and Thai tourists, resulting in a continuous flow of customers to replace those lost due to COVID-19, leading to an overall occupancy rate of 90%.
For A-One Pattaya Hotel, despite the overall tourism in Pattaya being sluggish due to a decrease in foreign tourists, the hotel has not been significantly affected due to its existing customer base targeting both Thai and foreign tourists. The diverse offerings of A-One Pattaya, ranging from 3-star to 5-star accommodations, include A-One Star Hotel, a simple minimalist 3-star hotel targeting young adults; A-One The Royal Cruise Hotel, a 4-star iconic hotel designed like a luxury ship and a landmark of Pattaya, catering to large families; A-ONE Pattaya Beach Resort, which features easy wheelchair access for families with elderly members; A-One New Wing Hotel, a 4-star hotel styled like a cruise ship; and Mytt Beach Hotel, a 5-star hotel targeting working professionals, allowing A-One Pattaya to meet the lifestyle needs of all groups.
Additionally, the hotel has consistently improved its restaurants, menus, and services to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty to the A-One brand, ensuring that every visit to Pattaya, whether for an overnight stay or a day trip, reminds customers of A-One. Furthermore, a new Kids Club zone is set to open in June to specifically target family markets, recognizing the growth potential in this segment. With various services such as a fitness center, diverse dining options, and a spa, A-One aims to provide a comprehensive relaxation experience for its guests.

Mr. Supachai Rattanopas, Assistant CEO of A-One Group and Managing Director of Mytt Beach Hotel Pattaya, revealed that Mytt Beach Hotel, a 5-star hotel under the A-One Group, focuses on lifestyle and entertainment, targeting a younger audience who enjoys music. However, due to the COVID-19 crisis, they could not hold concerts or music festivals, and with tourism stagnating, they shifted direction to become a comprehensive relaxation destination, developing a diverse menu and services that cater to all lifestyles, covering aspects of dining, drinking, entertainment, and health across all generations.

“Pippa” is a semi-rooftop bar restaurant on the 19th floor targeting young adults, decorated in a Forest theme to create an immersive experience for customers to enjoy the serene atmosphere of the woods. When stepping outside, guests are greeted with a panoramic view of Pattaya Beach, perfect for sunset watching. The venue also features both indoor and outdoor zones, with private areas available for hosting private parties, focusing primarily on Asian twist cuisine.

The restaurant “Wantana”, previously a Thai seafood restaurant, has been transformed into a traditional Thai restaurant focusing on local ingredients, targeting families and foreign tourists who appreciate authentic Thai flavors. Meanwhile, “Fat Coco”, which was originally a café serving Italian food, has shifted its menu to seafood and premium BBQ pork, offering an affordable price point, with a Beach Club area within the restaurant for relaxation, appealing to both local youth and tourists from Bangkok.

Additionally, Mytt Beach Pattaya is advancing its MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) business, continuously providing seminar and meeting services, including banquet facilities that can accommodate up to 1,000 people. Existing services have been improved to enhance competitiveness with other providers, recognizing Pattaya's potential as a tourism and lifestyle hub. The market for event hosting and meetings is also beginning to recover, and the hotel's location along Pattaya Beach in the city center, along with free parking for meeting attendees, adds to its appeal.
