Ananda Ventures into Full-scale Blockchain Business with Bitkub, Launches ZillaSpace through the Decentralized Real Estate Sharing Protocol using ZillaSpace NFT via Blockchain technology for the first time! This initiative aims to maximize the sustainable use of underutilized resources.

Ananda Development Public Company Limited reinforces its leadership in technology and innovation by announcing the launch of the ZillaSpace Protocol, designed to address the issue of underutilized resources through a decentralized real estate sharing protocol. This was done in collaboration with Bitkub Blockchain Technology Co., Ltd. at the Blockchain Block Party held at the FYI Center on Klongtoey Road, an event that gathered leaders and prominent figures from both the cryptocurrency and blockchain technology sectors to exchange ideas on using technology to elevate and develop the country.

Mr. Chanond Ruangkritya, CEO of Ananda Development Public Company Limited, stated that currently, the construction and building materials industry in real estate contributes to 21% of global carbon dioxide emissions annually. Meanwhile, urban expansion and population growth exacerbate this issue. Additionally, the trend of remote work and the increasing number of individuals who can work online without a fixed address or workplace have surged significantly due to the impact of COVID-19, leading to rapid growth in the space-sharing market. For instance, in the United States, the number of people able to work remotely increased from 4.8 million in 2018 to 10.9 million in 2020, and it is projected that this group will exceed one billion worldwide by 2035.

Another important trend to consider is the rise of millennials and younger generations, including digital nomads, and changing consumer behaviors, which are significant driving forces behind the rapid growth of the space-sharing economy. It is anticipated that cryptocurrencies will become a widely accepted payment method, and the tokenization of various assets will become commonplace. This trend is already evident on blockchain travel platforms, where 70% of bookings on Travala.com (a global accommodation booking site) are paid with digital currencies, and this platform has seen rapid growth.

The concept behind the development of the ZillaSpace Protocol stems from the idea that with the increasing pace of development and construction every day, we should leverage existing real estate to reduce pollution from new constructions and maximize resource utilization for societal benefit. Currently, construction and building materials from the real estate industry emit as much as 21% of global carbon dioxide emissions annually. Sharing real estate through blockchain technology can effectively mitigate this issue. This is the essence of the ZillaSpace Protocol, allowing everyone to access shared spaces and collectively address this problem.

The ZillaSpace Protocol is built on the Bitkub Chain, developed by Bitkub Blockchain Technology Co., Ltd.. Ananda aims for the ZillaSpace Protocol to be the starting point for the 4.0 real estate industry and a primary platform for real estate space sharing, progressing towards a global network like Ethereum or Solana, where everyone can participate, not limited to Ananda's properties alone.

In the first phase of the ZillaSpace Protocol, the ZillaSpace NFT in the Bitkub NEXT wallet will serve as a Founding Member card (Whitelist) and provide initial benefits that holders can redeem for space based on the characteristics of that NFT, such as co-working spaces, meeting rooms, studios, and event spaces. The first batch of ZillaSpace NFTs was distributed to participants at the Blockchain Block Party through an airdrop on December 1, 2021.

Mr. Jirayut Supsrisopa, Founder and CEO of Bitkub Capital Group Holdings Co., Ltd., commented on this collaboration, stating, "Partnering with Ananda is a significant step for the real estate industry, not only in Thailand but also as one of the world's first projects to utilize existing resources to their fullest potential through blockchain technology. Currently, there are still many real estate units and spaces that are not fully utilized, and consumer demands and lifestyles have shifted from long-term residency or work at a single location to more mobility for both work and leisure.

"With the ZillaSpace project, Ananda aims to give back to society and protect the environment while creating new business opportunities. Ananda is continuously interested in technological development, and past projects have incorporated technology as a driving force. Furthermore, we have collaborated with partners both domestically and internationally to enhance the quality and efficiency of technology in Thailand to meet global standards," Mr. Chanond concluded.
