Weber, a manufacturer and distributor of cement adhesives, grout, and construction chemicals, and Gyproc, a producer and distributor of gypsum boards, gypsum plaster, and framing materials, both part of the Saint-Gobain Group in Thailand, organized a social initiative called Saint-Gobain We Care: United Against COVID-19. They distributed over 4,000 survival kits and food boxes to construction worker camps in 10 locations throughout Bangkok following the government's order to close construction camps for one month. This effort aims to alleviate the hardships faced by construction workers and provide them with encouragement. Additionally, the Saint-Gobain Group in Thailand donated S-shield glass to Siriraj Hospital, providing 100 sets to enhance the safety of medical personnel in their workplaces. This initiative is part of the collective effort to help all sectors of society overcome this significant crisis together.

Ms. Siwaraya Sritirat, the Operations Director of Saint-Gobain Thailand, stated, "As COVID-19 has surged again with increasing daily infection rates, the government implemented a one-month closure of construction camps to curb the outbreak. This has inevitably impacted the livelihoods of workers. Weber and Gyproc, under the Saint-Gobain Group, recognize the difficulties faced by our industry colleagues. Therefore, we organized a team to survey construction camps in Bangkok to provide food and survival kits to workers, while also purchasing food boxes from small local vendors affected by the COVID-19 crisis to help distribute income to those in need."

Ms. Siwaraya continued, "In addition to the hardships faced by the construction camps due to the COVID situation, the company is also aware of the safety of medical personnel. The Saint-Gobain Group in Thailand has donated S-shield protective glass panels made from high-standard tempered safety glass, a product from Saint-Gobain Glass, to Siriraj Hospital. This donation includes 100 sets to be installed in work areas to protect our frontline medical staff from COVID-19, aligning with our business objective of 'MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER HOME.' We believe that everyone in society lives in the same large home, and we care not only for those within our own home but also for everyone around us. Therefore, the company will continue to provide assistance to bring smiles to our Thai brothers and sisters as we navigate through the COVID-19 crisis together."

Ms. Supha Rojanasangworn, owner of a rice curry shop in Vibhavadi, said, "The COVID-19 situation has significantly reduced our sales, especially during this lockdown period in Bangkok and its vicinity, making our shop quieter than usual. As a vendor, I can only hope that these measures will quickly reduce the number of infections and return the situation to normal as soon as possible. I would like to thank the Saint-Gobain Group in Thailand for organizing such a wonderful initiative to help distribute income to small vendors like us."

The Saint-Gobain We Care: United Against COVID-19 initiative, organized in collaboration with Weber and Gyproc, involved purchasing food boxes from small vendors affected by the COVID-19 crisis to help distribute income to struggling locals. They also distributed survival kits containing rice, canned fish, face masks, and work shirts to 10 construction camps across Bangkok, including camps in On Nut 17, Rama 3, Sukhumvit 36, Lasalle, Sukhumvit 50, Bang Sue, Chaeng Watthana, Charoennakorn, Rama 9, and Phra Khanong.
