SC Asset takes care of its contractor partners by providing support and assistance to workers and youth in labor camps totaling over 4,000 lives, aiming to promote a sustainable community.
SC Asset Corporation Public Company Limited, a leader in Living Solutions Providers and human-centric housing development for customers, has shared insights from Mr. Papanadech Pacharachanan, Senior Director of Property Development Support, regarding the 30-day closure of construction worker camps to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 as per government policy. He stated, “Under the company’s policy, we prioritize caring for the community surrounding our organization, particularly for our partners and contractor associates. We are ready to extend assistance to over 4,000 workers in camps, both Thai and foreign, involved in horizontal and vertical projects in Bangkok and its vicinity.” This assistance is divided into two proactive measures as follows:
Assistance Measures
· We have successfully distributed essential consumables for daily living, including rice, dry food, eggs, seasonings, and drinking water, to all worker camps.
· We are assisting contractors with liquidity by negotiating with construction material suppliers to extend payment deadlines for contractors, as well as providing other necessary financial support.
Prevention Measures
· Improving worker camps.
· Providing herbal medicine for COVID-19 prevention.
Additionally, for everyone's safety, the company has collaborated with health authorities to conduct proactive COVID-19 screenings to assess and segregate at-risk groups, following government procedures.
Mr. Papanadech stated, “Regardless of the COVID-19 situation, what is important is that the company is committed to creating positive energy and continuously strengthening the community and society surrounding our organization, ensuring that our contractor partners are robust and can grow sustainably together.”
