The Office of the Fiscal Economic reports on the regional economic situation weekly as of April 30, 2021, as follows:
(1) The number of newly registered trucks in March 2021 increased by 14.8%.
(2) Factories that began operations in March 2021 had a total investment value of 13,249 million baht, with significant capital in the Central and Eastern regions.

Private Investment Economy is reflected in the growth of newly registered trucks in almost every region, especially in the South, Northeast, and Central regions, while factories that began operations had high capital in the Central and Eastern regions.
The number of newly registered trucks in March 2021 was 6,533 units, growing by 14.8% year-on-year from the previous month (and when adjusted for seasonal effects, it showed a contraction of 2.6% month-on-month seasonally adjusted), with details as follows:
1) The South grew by 60.8% year-on-year, with significant growth in Chumphon, Pattani, Trang, and Surat Thani.
2) The Northeast grew by 37.4% year-on-year, with strong growth in Mukdahan, Amnat Charoen, Chaiyaphum, and Nakhon Ratchasima.
3) The Central region grew by 11.7% year-on-year, with notable growth in Singburi, Lopburi, and Saraburi.
4) The North grew by 9.3% year-on-year, with good growth in Uttaradit, Phrae, Phitsanulok, and Nakhon Sawan.
5) The East grew by 9.3% year-on-year, with significant growth in Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, and Chonburi.
6) The West grew by 2.8% year-on-year, with growth in Ratchaburi, Suphanburi, and Phetchaburi.
7) Bangkok and its vicinity contracted by -2.4% year-on-year, but there was still growth in Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan, and Nakhon Pathom.
The capital of factories that began operations in March 2021 amounted to 13,249 million baht, with investments distributed across several regions, particularly:
1) The Central region had a capital value of 5,352 million baht, with investments in Saraburi amounting to 3,944.40 million baht, including 3,850.40 million baht for steam power plants and 1,399.11 million baht in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya for factories producing, assembling, modifying, or repairing machinery for the rubber product industry, such as machinery for manufacturing motorcycle tires and machinery for producing rubber parts, totaling 1,349.30 million baht.
2) The Eastern region had a capital value of 4,407 million baht, with investments in Chachoengsao amounting to 2,376.1 million baht, including 1,853 million baht for factories modifying or changing the condition of vehicles or trailers, and investments in Chonburi amounting to 1,537.5 million baht, particularly in factories producing products from wire, such as staples and nails, totaling 362.6 million baht, and factories producing paper boxes, such as mobile phone boxes, electrical appliance boxes, and electronic equipment packaging, totaling 204.43 million baht.
