Mr. Prawit Anusiri, President of the Thai Real Estate Brokers Association stated that the association has submitted a letter to Mr. Nisith Jansomwong, Director-General of the Land Department, suggesting that the Land Department, under the Ministry of Interior, which has offices nationwide providing services to the public for various transactions at land offices, should encourage and promote the use of services from real estate brokers who have been evaluated for their professional competencies by TPQI, a government agency (professional brokers).

"Real estate brokers can be a great help in buying and selling properties for clients, providing convenience and confidence. They are advisors with an understanding of the location and properties involved in the transactions, assisting in every step and helping to reduce potential issues, especially with second-hand homes that require verification of credibility, including the condition of the house, land documents, and related paperwork, which can be complicated. Therefore, conducting transactions through knowledgeable brokers is an appealing option."

The Thai Real Estate Brokers Association has collaborated to establish professional standards for real estate brokers with the Professional Qualification Institute (Public Organization), which reports directly to the Prime Minister, since 2015. They have set the professional standards for brokers at 7 levels according to international standards. Currently, there are 7 accredited organizations that evaluate brokers as legal entities from the Professional Qualification Institute, with over 4,000 brokers having undergone competency assessments and providing real estate brokerage services according to international standards from the government.

These brokers have passed evaluations and received certification, registered with the Professional Qualification Institute, allowing the public and clients to verify the identity of brokers at www.Tpqi.go.th.

In 2020, the Professional Qualification Institute will issue cards for those who have passed evaluations to carry as identification and will create professional stickers to pin the location of brokers on the website of www.terrabkk.com, which will be another channel for finding professional brokers to choose services that meet clients' needs while ensuring credibility and safety, enhancing the image of the real estate brokerage business.

For brokers who have not yet been evaluated and are interested in training, the Thai Real Estate Brokers Association offers a free basic training course, known as Fast Track Broker, lasting 1 day, to allow interested brokers to participate in training and receive competency assessments to elevate their profession in real estate brokerage for the benefit of society.
