Amidst the stagnation of the business sector during the COVID-19 pandemic, the growth of the real estate sector was also expected to decline. However, One Bangkok continues to advance its development projects, announcing the successful pouring of the largest concrete foundation in Southeast Asia's history, aiming to drive Thailand's business sector towards a sustainable future.

Recently, One Bangkok marked a significant milestone in the construction development of Southeast Asia by pouring the largest concrete foundation in history, utilizing over 547 concrete trucks, totaling 23,725 cubic meters. This foundation is part of one of the buildings in the One Bangkok project, which took a continuous operation time of 33 hours and 15 minutes, using over 2,200 tons of reinforcing steel to support a foundation thickness of 4.5 meters for a 170-meter tall office building, which will be one of the first buildings ready for tenants to move in by 2023.

One Bangkok also emphasizes sustainable project development, aiming to be the first project in Thailand to receive international building certifications such as LEED and WELL Platinum, as well as the LEED Neighborhood Development Platinum standard for community development. The concrete used for the foundation of One Bangkok is specifically designed to be low heat, reducing cracking issues due to temperature, facilitating faster operations with less energy consumption, and achieving a compressive strength of up to 600 kilograms per square centimeter. The cement used in the concrete mix is also a green-labeled product that is environmentally friendly, reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Additionally, during the concrete pouring process, environmental considerations were taken into account, such as cleaning vehicle tires before leaving the site and installing air quality and noise level sensors both inside and outside the building. Continuous measures are in place to maintain cleanliness within the project to ensure that the construction area and its surroundings are orderly and considerate of the environment and community, including washing all vehicles before leaving the project, regularly cleaning the surrounding roads and sidewalks, and installing dust suppression systems around the project.

This historic event represents a strong collaboration between One Bangkok, developed by a joint venture between TCC Assets (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Frasers Property Holdings (Thailand) Co., Ltd., along with SCG Building Materials Co., Ltd. and project partners including KCS & Associates Co., Ltd., Stonehenge International Public Co., Ltd., and Italian-Thai Development Public Co., Ltd. It also reflects One Bangkok's commitment to setting new standards in design, lifestyle, and sustainability, both in Thailand and the region, while elevating Thailand's prominence on the global stage.
