CI Moves Forward to Tackle COVID-19, Uniting All Subsidiaries to Ensure Customer and Employee Confidence
Charn Issara and its subsidiaries are taking proactive measures against the COVID-19 virus, ensuring safety - prioritizing every project and preparing to serve customers while strictly adhering to public health measures.
Mr. Songkran Issara, CEO and Managing Director of Charn Issara Development Public Company Limited, revealed the measures in place to address the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak across all company projects. The company and its subsidiaries are acutely aware of the importance of safety for customers and employees, closely monitoring the situation to implement plans for urgent events as they arise.
In this regard, all projects of the company and its subsidiaries have established various measures to ensure safety and reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission, whether in projects located in Bangkok, provincial projects, hotels, office buildings, or shopping centers.
For projects in Bangkok, such as the Issara House Bangna, Issara Residence Rama 9, The Issara Sathorn, Issara Collection Sathorn, The Issara Ladprao, and Issara at Forty-Two Sukhumvit, as well as the Charn Issara Tower on Rama 4 Road and Charn Issara Tower 2 on New Petchburi Road, the company has set up monitoring and prevention measures against the spread of the COVID-19 virus that meet the standards recommended by the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health. This includes strict cleaning of frequently touched surfaces such as elevator buttons, floor indicator buttons in elevators, reception counters, and lobby furniture. Disinfecting sprays are applied in common areas at risk of disease transmission, and body temperature checks are conducted for everyone entering the projects. Hand sanitizers are provided in common areas for customers and/or visitors, and all packages and items delivered to the projects are disinfected. The swimming pools, steam rooms, and gyms are temporarily closed, and all individuals are reminded to take care of their health by wearing masks and gloves, especially for cleaning staff during their duties. All measures are implemented with the health and safety of customers, employees, and visitors as a priority.
For provincial projects, including Tiw Talay Estate in Cha-am, Phetchaburi, Baan Sitawan in Pak Chong-Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima, and The Issara Chiang Mai in Chiang Mai, although the COVID-19 virus has not spread as severely as in Bangkok, the company has not been complacent and has instructed each project to monitor and prevent the spread of COVID-19, implementing various measures to ensure safety and confidence for all customers and employees.
Mr. Songkran further stated that in addition to the above measures, the company’s hotels, including Sri Panwa Phuket, Baba Beach Club Phuket, and Baba Beach Club Hua Hin, have established protocols to accommodate incoming tourists and ensure employee safety, providing hand sanitizers at various points and using disinfectants for final cleaning. Body temperature checks are conducted for guests and all employees before entering the premises using thermal scanners, and disinfectant sprays are prepared for various areas within the hotels.
“In addition to the aforementioned measures, all three hotels have temporarily closed their communal swimming pools and fitness centers. At Baba Beach Club Hua Hin, the dining area has been closed to outside guests, serving only registered guests to reduce gatherings and minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission,” Mr. Songkran stated.
To adapt and respond to the COVID-19 outbreak, the company has announced that employees can work from home to reduce the risk of infection and virus spread. For construction sites or sales offices, temperature checks are conducted before work, and strict mask-wearing policies are enforced during operations, with frequent hand sanitizing stations provided. Additionally, the company has arranged for additional health insurance specifically for COVID-19 for all executives and employees to alleviate the financial burden in case of illness due to the virus.
