Asset World Corporation Public Company Limited (AWC), a leading real estate developer in Thailand focused on comprehensive lifestyle solutions, is moving forward with measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The company has announced the temporary closure of 5 hotels in Bangkok from March 26 to April 15, 2020, to reduce travel for thousands of employees and limit large gatherings, thereby contributing to the overall welfare of society.

Naowalapa Traisorat, CEO and Managing Director of Asset World Corporation Public Company Limited (AWC), stated, "We are deeply concerned about the situation and are committed to being part of the measures to control large gatherings, promote social distancing, and reduce travel, especially in Bangkok, while also taking care of our thousands of employees within AWC.

Therefore, we announce the temporary closure of 5 hotels in Bangkok, which include Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok, Le Méridien Bangkok, The Okura Prestige Bangkok, and Bangkok Marriott The Surawongse.

To support the over 2,000 employees of the 5 temporarily closed hotels, all staff will continue to receive their salaries and benefits as usual during this period. The company has mandated that all employees stay at home and avoid traveling to other provinces to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in accordance with government policy. Additionally, a comprehensive cleaning plan will be implemented across all 5 hotels during the closure to enhance hygiene confidence for guests, employees, visitors, and all stakeholders upon reopening.
