Nakhon Ratchasima Orders Closure of High-Risk Venues from March 22 to April 12, 2020
The Nakhon Ratchasima provincial order mandates the closure of high-risk venues from March 22 to April 12, 2020, due to the high population density in the province, which poses a significant risk for rapid disease transmission. The decision includes the temporary closure of the following areas:
1. Temporary closure of venues until the situation improves:
- Boxing stadiums and boxing schools
- Indoor sports arenas, gyms, or similar buildings
- Horse racing tracks
- Cockfighting arenas and training grounds
- Snooker and billiard tables
- Cattle and buffalo markets
2. Temporary closure from March 22 to April 12, 2020:
- Entertainment venues as per the Entertainment Establishment Act B.E. 2509
- Establishments operating similarly to entertainment venues as per Article 4 of the National Council for Peace and Order Order No. 22/2558 dated March 22, 2015
- Theaters (e.g., cinemas, theaters)
- Traditional massage shops, health massage shops, beauty massage shops, except for therapeutic massage in healthcare facilities
- Fitness centers
- Game shops, internet cafes, karaoke bars
- Amusement parks
- Swimming pools
- Similar businesses
- Restaurants and beverage shops (only allowed to sell food and drinks for takeout and hotel restaurants serving only hotel guests)
- Dining areas in convenience stores
- Markets and fairs (only allowed to sell fresh food, dry food, ready-to-eat food for takeout, pet food, pharmacies, and essential goods)
- Beauty salons, hairdressing, or barber shops (except those without waiting areas)
- Tattoo or body piercing services
- Skate parks or rollerblading venues or similar activities
- Golf courses or driving ranges
- Amulet centers and amulet markets
- Exhibition centers, conference centers, and exhibition venues
- Educational institutions at all levels and tutoring centers
- Weight control services, beauty clinics, and beauty enhancement services
- Spa businesses, bathhouses, steam rooms, and herbal saunas
If anyone fails to comply with this order, it will be considered an offense under Section 52 of the Communicable Disease Act B.E. 2558, punishable by imprisonment for up to one year, a fine of up to one hundred thousand baht, or both.
