41st Housing and Condo Fair Achieves 3.5 Billion Baht in Sales Over 4 Days as Consumer Purchasing Power Remains Strong
The 41st Housing and Condo Fair was pleased with its sales results, as consumer purchasing power remains robust. It was noted that genuine consumers are still strong, driving sales at the event up by over 10%, amounting to more than 3.5 billion baht. Confidence in the market for the 3rd and 4th quarters is expected to improve, following surveys indicating that consumers still have a high demand for housing in the next 1-3 months. Sales are anticipated to double after the event.
Mr. Churachart Chakrakul, the president of the 41st Housing and Condo Fair, revealed the success of the event held from December 12-15, 2019, at Royal Paragon Hall, 5th floor of Siam Paragon Shopping Center, under the concept “Amazing Deals: The Ultimate Offers for Those Looking to Own a Home or Condo.” Throughout the 4-day event, the response was positive, meeting the expected targets, with visitor numbers similar to the previous event. Meanwhile, bookings during the fair increased by approximately 10%, totaling over 3.5 billion baht, with townhouse projects accounting for 37%, condominiums 34%, single houses 20%, duplex houses 6%, and vacant land and other properties making up 3%. Additionally, loan applications from financial institutions during the event reached over 4 billion baht.

Mr. Churachart Chakrakul further stated that a survey of attendees revealed that the majority of visitors were aged between 21-30 years, making up 39%, followed by those aged 31-40 at 31%, and 41-50 at 16%. The income range of attendees was primarily between 30,000 – 50,000 baht, accounting for 28%, followed by 10,000 – 30,000 baht at 22%, and 50,000 – 70,000 baht at 16%. This year’s attendees were mostly genuine buyers, with over 24% expressing a desire to purchase housing within 1-3 months, while 23% intended to buy within 1 year. The most sought-after housing price range was 2 – 2.99 million baht, attracting 29% of visitors, followed by 1 – 1.99 million baht at 22%, and 3-3.99 million baht at 18%. The most popular project type was condominiums at 40%, followed by single houses at 35%, and townhouses at 15%.



The 41st Housing and Condo Fair was organized by three main real estate associations: the Housing Business Association, the Thai Condominium Association, and the Thai Real Estate Association.
