I’m Chinatown has announced the launch of the I’m Chinatown project, the largest mixed-use development in the Yaowarat area, valued at over 3 billion baht, set to open in the final quarter of this year.

Ms. Sarunthip Lertpanjaroj, Managing Director of I’m Chinatown Co., Ltd., revealed that “The company is preparing to fully open the I’m Chinatown project in the last quarter of this year, as construction on all parts has progressed over 80%. This project consists of three real estate components: a condominium, a hotel, and a shopping center, located on over 3 rai of land on Charoen Krung Road, in front of the Wat Mangkon MRT station, making it the largest and most modern mixed-use project in the Yaowarat area.”

“In addition to the construction nearing completion, the various business sectors are also making satisfactory progress. The condominium, named I’m Chinatown Residence, is an 8-story low-rise building with a total area of approximately 2,000 square meters, offering fully furnished units ranging from 20-25 square meters. It has achieved 100% booking since opening for reservations, with most customers being residents and operators already in the Yaowarat area. Meanwhile, for the hotel, the company has reached an agreement with a leading hotel chain in Thailand to manage a 4-star hotel with 224 rooms, with room rates starting at 2,400 baht per night. We are confident that the occupancy rate will not be less than 90% throughout the year. The hotel, located on the 4th to 8th floors of this shopping center, will become the top destination for foreign tourists and business travelers visiting Bangkok who want to experience the charm of Chinatown, looking for convenient, clean, and modern accommodation surrounded by many renowned restaurants.”

Ms. Sarunthip added, “As for the shopping center, which is the only fully-fledged shopping center in the Yaowarat area, the company has already leased out 95% of the space and expects to reach 100% by the third quarter.”

The company anticipates generating over 100 million baht in annual revenue from leasing space within the center. The shopping center will feature a diverse mix of products and services to cater to the needs of visitors, shoppers in the Yaowarat area, vendors, tourists, and foreign businesspeople, spread across four floors.”

“The B floor will be a hub for famous souvenirs from Yaowarat, including Thai gourmet products, as well as various service shops to enhance the daily lifestyle of visitors to the project. The 1st and 2nd floors will feature restaurants and beverage brands such as Starbucks, KFC, Dairy Queen, Yi Fang, Bar B Q Plaza, MK, Yayoi, Krispy Kreme, Hachiban Ramen, New York Deli, Jamba Juice, and Lim Jing Hieng, among others. Additionally, there will be a food court featuring famous street food vendors from across Bangkok. The 3rd floor will be dedicated to health and beauty, highlighting stores like Jetts Fitness and Let’s Relax Spa.”

Moreover, the I’m Chinatown project will include a 6-story underground parking facility that can accommodate over 300 cars, making it the largest parking area in the Yaowarat area.

“Yaowarat is one of the top potential locations in Thailand, rich in history and culture, with a unique lifestyle and a distinctive business hub, often referred to as Dragon Road. This has led to high demand for residential, commercial, and accommodation spaces for tourists and business travelers. Furthermore, access to Yaowarat is set to improve significantly with the upcoming opening of the Blue Line extension from Hua Lamphong to Bang Khae in August. Therefore, the company is confident that the I’m Chinatown project, scheduled for a full opening in the 4th quarter of this year, will receive an immediate positive response and become a new landmark in the Yaowarat area in the near future,” concluded Ms. Sarunthip.
