Bangkok – December 24, 2018 - Singha Estate continues its commitment to sustainability by launching a New Year campaign inviting Thai people to travel responsibly towards society and the environment through the ongoing campaign #SeaYouTomorrow. The campaign features a short film promoting mindful sea travel that does not harm marine life, along with an exhibition advocating responsible tourism that minimizes waste. Over 10,000 employees, vendors, and local residents around the Sun Towers are invited to contribute to the conservation of Thailand's seas and the world's oceans.

Mr. Narit Chayaklin, CEO of Singha Estate Public Company Limited, stated: “Singha Estate prioritizes the concept of ‘developing business through sustainability for the organization, stakeholders, and society, community, and environment.’ We emphasize the importance of development alongside sustainable growth that maintains a balance between conservation and resource restoration. Throughout 2018, the company has implemented various projects focused on the conservation and restoration of marine natural resources, such as the second 'Grow Fast' project, where Singha Estate supports coral monitoring and restoration in the area of Nopparat Thara Beach National Park and Phi Phi Islands using aerial drone photography, along with coral planting through Coral Propagation methods in Maya Bay. Additionally, we opened a marine learning center at Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort earlier this year and launched the #SeaYouTomorrow campaign, which encourages urban residents to reduce plastic waste and promotes proper waste separation during World Oceans Day.”

Recently, during the year-end festival welcoming the New Year, Singha Estate has continued the #SeaYouTomorrow project to raise awareness and aims to change public behavior regarding environmental conservation. The campaign targets two groups: the general public through a short film educating about tourist behaviors that impact the life cycle of clownfish and the challenges in breeding clownfish for return to nature, which will be shared online on Christmas Day. The second group includes employees, vendors, and over 10,000 local residents around the Sun Towers through an exhibition encouraging everyone to celebrate the New Year creatively while minimizing waste. The exhibition features educational games about the decomposition of different types of waste, a Christmas tree made from recycled waste, and all decorative items that can be reused or repurposed for the following year, representing a responsible Christmas event that does not contribute additional waste to society.

“We implement all these projects with the hope of seeing positive changes in Thai people's behavior, fostering an understanding of actions that do not impact the environment directly or indirectly, and raising awareness of the importance of marine natural resources, which are the largest ecosystems in the world. Therefore, Singha Estate aims to be a small cog in the wheel that contributes to the conservation of Thailand's seas, preserving their beauty and charm for the long term,” Mr. Narit concluded.
