Gyproc Presents Activ’Air Gypsum Technology for Cleaner Air and Improved Quality of Life
Bangkok - Thai Gypsum Products Public Company Limited, the first gypsum manufacturer in Thailand and the innovator of high-quality gypsum under the brand “Gyproc”, introduces the Gyproc® Activ’Air gypsum board, the latest innovation aimed at improving air quality and enhancing the health of building occupants. This was presented at the Green Real Estate seminar, which delves into the real estate business for entrepreneurs, including project developers, land/building owners, and architects. The event aimed to exchange information and knowledge to collaboratively shape the future of the real estate industry in the ASEAN region, with a mission to seek design and construction methods in Asia that positively impact people's health, utilize smart technology, and are more environmentally friendly. Mr. Sompan Leelapanaporn, Product Group Manager at Saint-Gobain Gyproc, was a keynote speaker at this event.

Recognizing that formaldehyde can cause health issues, Gyproc has developed and introduced Gyproc® Activ’Air, a high-performance gypsum board designed to break down formaldehyde into harmless inert compounds, thereby reducing the risk of harmful substances circulating within buildings and improving air quality by up to 70%,”
The Gyproc® Activ’Air gypsum board features a gypsum core that allows air to pass through, mixed with other substances, and is tightly bonded with a paper facing. This air-purifying gypsum board is suitable for installation in interior dry wall systems. Gyproc® Activ’Air can permanently and effectively improve indoor air quality by eliminating circulating formaldehyde for up to 50 years, even after multiple renovations. This innovative gypsum board uses special compounds that do not impact the environment, health, or recyclability of the product. This solution is suitable for all types of buildings and applications, whether for ceiling installations, room wall panels, partitions, or in conjunction with plaster.
