How has the first quarter of 2024 been for everyone? The real estate business remains stable in the first quarter due to various risk factors such as rising household debt, stricter lending criteria from financial institutions, and competition in different locations. This has led real estate developers to carefully reconsider and plan each project to meet the needs of buyers, especially in terms of design, which is a crucial aspect of residential development. Besides the housing style and functionality, selecting suitable materials and color shades for each type of residence to cater to different buyer groups is another important factor in residential project development. This is something I wanted to share with my friends and members of TerraBKK.

Every year-end, the Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC) publishes an E-book that compiles in-depth analyses and insights into upcoming trends in the creative business sector. This year, the book is titled “TREND 2024: REMADE ANEW.” One of the key recommendations each year is to forecast color trends. For 2024, there are predictions for 7 main color groups and shades expected to be popular next year. Among these 7 main colors are Rich Gold, Coral Gold, Butterfly, Capri, Raspberry Rose, Violet Storm, and Pine Cone. These 7 shades are anticipated to be popular in architectural design, interior decoration, and home decor, which I will introduce for those looking to improve their living spaces or searching for new homes, as well as for real estate developers planning residential projects.

The two shades expected to be popular in architectural design and interior decoration in 2024 are Coral Gold and Pine Cone.

CORAL GOLD is a warm, earthy orange shade.

In 2024, this warm terracotta color is categorized as a neutral tone that pairs well with brown, gray, and black. This earthy orange helps create a warm atmosphere in the home, enhancing the feeling of a relaxing space while also providing a vibrant and lively energy.

PINE CONE is a brown shade.

Brown will represent sustainability in 2024, encompassing eco-friendly packaging, natural materials, second-hand wooden furniture, and retro-style decor. Brown symbolizes the appreciation of materials in their original state found in nature, such as clay, wood, or textiles.

With these recommended orange and brown trends, we can easily incorporate them into home decoration, such as using terracotta tiles for walls or floors, natural leather sofas, wooden tables or chairs, rugs and curtains with clear weaving patterns, and adding freshness with potted plants in terracotta pots, or even building homes with exposed brick walls.

After reading this, many of you might start looking around your homes for ideas on how to decorate using these two shades. Feel free to visit the website www.lws.co.th for trendy decoration ideas. See you again in May!
