“The private investment economy is reflected by the increase in new registered truck numbers across all regions compared to the previous month, while factories starting operations have high capital values in Bangkok and its vicinity, the Eastern region, and the Central region.”

In August 2022, the number of new registered trucks was 7,272, representing a growth of 31.3% year-on-year, an increase from the previous month (and when seasonally adjusted, it shows a growth of 4.84% month-on-month compared to the previous month). The details are as follows:
1) Eastern Region grew by 79.7% year-on-year, with strong growth in Chachoengsao, Rayong, Nakhon Nayok, and Chonburi.
2) Northern Region grew by 48.4% year-on-year, with strong growth in Phetchabun, Nakhon Sawan, Nan, and Lampang.
3) Central Region grew by 40.6% year-on-year, with strong growth in Lopburi, Chai Nat, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, and Ang Thong.
4) Northeastern Region grew by 23.6% year-on-year, with strong growth in Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon, Bueng Kan, and Chaiyaphum.
5) Bangkok and Vicinity grew by 19.2% year-on-year, with growth in Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan, and Nakhon Pathom.
6) Southern Region grew by 14.0% year-on-year, with strong growth in Narathiwat, Satun, Phuket, and Pattani.
7) Western Region grew by 13.2% year-on-year, with strong growth in Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram, and Prachuap Khiri Khan.

The capital of factories starting operations in August 2022 amounted to 9,803 million baht, with investments distributed across various regions, particularly:
1) Bangkok and Vicinity had capital worth 5,203 million baht, with investments in Bangkok amounting to 3,291 million baht, including capital for research, development, and production of vaccines or high-value bioproducts worth 2,876 million baht, and investments in Samut Sakhon amounting to 1,142.15 million baht, which included cold storage factory capital of 513.32 million baht and capital for herbal extract and finished herbal medicine production factories of 260 million baht.
2) Eastern Region had capital worth 2,528.80 million baht, with investments in Prachinburi amounting to 1,738 million baht, primarily for hot-rolled steel and steel products manufacturing worth 1,730 million baht.
3) Central Region had capital worth 893 million baht, with investments in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya amounting to 717.80 million baht, including capital for bottled water production worth 230 million baht and capital for electrical component manufacturing, such as capacitors, worth 208.72 million baht.
