Dynamic Young Executive from Real Estate... Transitioning to a New Role in Technology
This is a special article created by Terra BKK as we had the opportunity to speak with Khun Kayan Tantichatiwat, a dynamic young executive who has been involved in the real estate sector for quite some time. He has now taken on a significant new role, transitioning from real estate to technology as the Chief Marketing Officer of Sky ICT Public Company Limited (SKY). His mission is to lead SKY from a System Integration (SI) company to a fully-fledged Tech Company.
“What are the key reasons for accepting this new challenge?”
Utilizing experience from the real estate sector to reshape perspectives through technology
Khun Kayan Tantichatiwat, Chief Marketing Officer of Sky ICT Public Company Limited (SKY) shared that through his experiences and opportunities in various businesses, including advertising, banking, and real estate, the common thread across all sectors is “data” and “technology” to support organizational growth in every dimension.

In the past 3-4 years, we have seen an increasing integration of data and technology in the development of products or services to meet consumer demands and enhance convenience. This trend is expected to continue, and in the future, companies that accurately collect data for development by data analytics teams and programmers will have a competitive edge, as they will be able to analyze data more accurately and work more efficiently.
This is the driving force behind the interest in future technologies. When the opportunity arose at SKY to transform the existing business from SI to a Tech Company, aiming to penetrate the private sector more aggressively, I saw the opportunity and challenge, making it an easy decision to manage a future-oriented business.
“Understanding the customer’s pain points” is a significant challenge for companies in technology development.
Upon taking this position at SKY, the first mission is to advance the business into the private sector. A crucial aspect of entering any business is “understanding the customer’s pain points,” which can become an opportunity to develop technology that creates digital platforms that best meet customer needs. Technology plays a vital role in improving and simplifying everything. Having big data, a team ready for data analytics with know-how in data analysis, and a creative programming team are all essential components that enable effective problem-solving for customers, which is a major challenge in this industry.

Today, SKY is ready to penetrate the private sector across various industries, including education, tourism, security, and most importantly, real estate, where I have over 10 years of experience. Today, SKY has developed smart security technology to facilitate the real estate sector.
For example, let’s look at the development of technology for the real estate sector.
Having been in the real estate sector for a long time, I understand the pain points from various dimensions. The first area chosen for development is the safety of residents and effective management by the property management team. This led to the creation of Security Tech for all types of real estate, including houses, condominiums, office buildings, factories, hotels, hospitals, shopping malls, and more, which will be officially launched soon.

SKY has a large team of experts in technology and a global partner like SenseTime, a unicorn from China specializing in AI and face recognition, ranked among the top 3 in data analytics, collaborating to enhance the security system's effectiveness for our clients.
Providing real-time safety monitoring 24/7 has become essential for real estate operators to deliver this value to residents. For instance, interesting technologies like face recognition can replace cards or fingerprint scans to reduce contact and can also log entry and exit times from buildings. SKY has enhanced security services for clients by implementing an access control system using AI as the core technology to process data received from various devices such as smart CCTV, LPR, face scans, and QR codes, which are sent to the Smart Command Center, an investment of over 100 million baht.

Shifting Organizational Mindset to Create Business Opportunities
When discussing the shift in mindset among SKY's workforce, I would explain that previously, SKY was an SI organization providing comprehensive IT solutions and services to meet all customer needs. However, as we are transitioning to become a Tech Company, we need to develop digital platforms aimed at the business sector. Therefore, thinking, analyzing, and shifting mindsets are crucial. Additionally, it should be noted that the perspectives of those working in technology differ significantly from those in other businesses, as tech professionals focus on improving technology. Thus, we need to foster an environment of fun, creativity, and new thought processes (mindset) for SKY employees, changing perspectives to create new technologies that can positively impact society.

What to Expect from SKY Soon
In terms of business operations, we will undoubtedly see SKY entering various business sectors, including real estate, tourism, security, and education, where technology will enhance everything in this rapidly changing world.
Beyond business, we are also committed to human development and education. We hope that Thailand will advance if the youth in the country receive knowledge that keeps pace with the world. Therefore, we emphasize providing knowledge about technology. We have collaborated with several universities to promote students' learning and understanding of technological advancements, such as working with Thammasat University on the “AI Mentor” initiative, bringing AI courses from our main partner, SenseTime, to develop educators and educational personnel nationwide to pass on knowledge to interested students about AI. Currently, Thailand still lacks personnel in AI and software development to advance the country.
Today, SKY has a mission to bring technology and digital platforms to the private sector to help organizations advance to an international level, leading to more efficient operations. If we do not start today, Thailand will fall behind while neighboring countries continue to adapt. We do not want to leave anyone behind; Thailand should develop together, and SKY is ready to be part of this growth.
