1. Batteries : Contain manganese

Can cause headaches, cramps in arms and legs, and brain inflammation.

2. Fluorescent bulbs : Contain mercury

Can cause swollen gums, severe diarrhea, and muscle spasms.

3. Car batteries : Contain lead

Can cause muscle aches, memory loss, and seizures.

4. Cleaning agents : Contain ammonia

Can cause phlegm, chest pain, seizures, and burns upon contact.

5. Mobile phone batteries : Contain nickel

Can cause skin allergies, burns, and chest tightness.

6. Thinner : Contains solvents

Can cause nausea and may halt the digestive system.

Start sorting “hazardous waste” today:

- Dispose of it only in orange-gray hazardous waste bins.

- Do not burn, bury, or dispose of it in water sources.

- If it is a liquid, do not mix it together.

- If it is solid, be careful not to break the container.
