For condominiums that “launched in 2017”, prices range from 30,000 THB to 350,000 THB per square meter. As previously mentioned by TerraBKK Research, affordable condominiums are typically found in the suburbs, while the expensive ones are situated in the prime areas of Bangkok, such as Thonglor, Chidlom, Rama 9, etc. If we were to rank the top 5 condominiums launched in 2017 with the highest prices, they would be:1. 28 CHIDLOM “It’s a choice not an option”
This condominium project from SC Asset launched at a starting price of 14 million THB, or 350,000 THB per square meter, located in the Super Prime Location of Bangkok, specifically in the “Chidlom area”, where finding freehold land is quite rare. Therefore, the 28 Chidlom project is considered a rare item in this location. This project is one of three condominiums in the Limited Luxury Collection by SC ASSET and was just opened for booking last February, with a total of 427 units divided into two buildings: “The Tower” with 47 floors and “The Villa” with 20 floors.
2. VITTORIO Sukhumvit 39 “Living in the Masterpiece”
Recently launched, this new condominium brand from AP is set to become the most expensive condominium from AP. Originally named Galerie rue de 39, it has been rebranded as VITTORIO, located in Sukhumvit 39, near The Em District, known for its high-end shopping. While the location may not be as prominent as Witthayu or Rajdamri roads, the design and materials of VITTORIO are top-notch, meticulously selected to ensure the best quality. This is the second project from THE ESSE brand, following the earlier project THE ESSE Asoke. This time, THE ESSE at SINGHA COMPLEX is located within the Singha Complex and is elevated with a launch price of 8.6 million THB. The project is strategically positioned between Sukhumvit and the new CBD of Ratchada, with the advantage of being in the Singha Complex, which is a mixed-use development comprising Grade A offices, shopping outlets, and luxury residences. It goes without saying that this project is surrounded by high-quality amenities.
4. The Reserve Thonglor 2 “Reserve Your Nature”
Returning once again with the brand The Reserve, this high-end condominium from Pruksa is now in the premium location of Sukhumvit on Thonglor, which was the hottest area last year. Although it ranks as the fourth most expensive condominium, The Reserve Thonglor 2 is considered to have launched at a relatively lower price compared to nearby projects selling at 300,000 THB per square meter, leading to a quick sell-out of smaller units. It is indeed one of the best-located projects at a reasonable price.
5. Ashton Asoke-Rama 9 “The Alpha & Omega”
Wrapping up the early year is a project from Ananda, which has secured a beautiful plot of land at the corner of Asoke-Rama 9 intersection, a location that many consider to be the new CBD, suitable for both living and investment.
