Asset World Corporation Public Company Limited (AWC), a Thai real estate developer focused on comprehensive lifestyle solutions, collaborates with Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited to strengthen the economy and tourism industry with a shared vision to create sustainable value through sustainable loans (Sustainability-Linked Loan) with a total amount of 40.5 billion baht to support growth under the Sustainable Growth-Led strategy through the sustainable development of AWC's quality asset portfolio in the long term. Of this, 10.5 billion baht will be used for the "Woeng Nakornkasem Yaowaraj" project (Woeng Nakornkasem Yaowaraj) the largest landmark mixed-use project of AWC, which will develop the historical area and create a new tourism ecosystem in Yaowaraj, linking Thai-Chinese cultural heritage with world-class experiences under the concept "Legacy of the Past, Inspiration of Tomorrow" to create new value for the community, economy, and Thailand's tourism industry in the long term. The project will host the experience of "Kung Fu Panda" from Universal Destinations & Experiences, inspired by the identity and stories of Yaowaraj, to share the charm of this historical area with visitors from around the world.

The "Woeng Nakornkasem Yaowaraj" project is the largest landmark mixed-use project of AWC on over 14 rai of strategic land in the heart of Yaowaraj, one of Bangkok's oldest and historically significant areas, and a major cultural and commercial center since the late 18th century. AWC plans to develop this project

 

The "Woeng Nakornkasem Yaowaraj" project is designed to develop an important historical area of Bangkok, bringing lifestyle formats to enhance fun experiences by harmoniously blending contemporary elements with Thai-Chinese cultural identity, featuring two world-class luxury hotels: InterContinental Bangkok Chinatown and Kimpton Bangkok Chinatown, premium shopping areas, contemporary Chinese pavilions, and cultural spaces for communities and families, while preparing to develop a world-class experience themed around “Kung Fu Panda” in collaboration with Universal Destinations & Experiences, inspired by the stories and identity of Yaowaraj, to convey the cultural heritage of the area and share the charm and value of Yaowaraj with visitors from around the world through contemporary experiences that connect culture, past, and future.

AWC aims to develop this project to be a green building according to international standards, integrating sustainability concepts in all dimensions to create shared value for the community, economy, and Thailand in the long term, and to drive Yaowaraj to become a comprehensive center for tourism, culture, and recreation, supporting Bangkok to become a world-class sustainable tourism destination. The project is scheduled to open fully by 2572. Additionally, the project plans to develop a tram system to connect travel experiences within Yaowaraj, the world's largest Chinatown, allowing both Thai people and tourists from around the world to conveniently and continuously experience the charm of the area, with “Woeng Nakornkasem Yaowaraj” as the travel hub connecting waterway travel through the Ong Ang Canal

and the Chao Phraya River, continuing with the MRT system and a large parking area for over 800 vehicles to enhance connectivity in the area, distributing income to local operators while driving Thailand towards becoming a world-class sustainable tourism destination.
