Pruksa Leverages Expertise to Empower Communities Through the 'Caring Home for People with Disabilities By Pruksa' Project, Promoting Equality for the Third Consecutive Year
A home is the starting point of life that brings happiness to many. 'Pruksa' has partnered with government agencies, communities, volunteers, and networks to realize the dream of providing safe and secure homes for people with disabilities through the project “Caring Home for People with Disabilities By Pruksa.” This initiative aims to deliver a joyful living space and give back to society by sustainably improving the quality of life for people with disabilities.

Ms. Angkana Likitjarnyakul, Deputy Managing Director of Corporate Marketing at Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited stated, “The project 'Caring Home for People with Disabilities By Pruksa' is one of the home improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for disabled and impoverished individuals, reflecting our commitment to sustainable development under the concept of 'Tomorrow. Reimagined.' This project originated from Pruksa's vision of ensuring that every Thai person has a 'home' where they can live happily and without worries, looking towards creating an Inclusive Society where everyone can live equally and with dignity, having equal access to services, places, and social information.”
Pruksa recognizes that there are still many groups in Thai society that need opportunities, especially people with disabilities living in rural areas. Therefore, we have combined our expertise and experience in housing development with local community collaboration to create and improve living conditions for people with disabilities in rural areas, addressing the unique challenges they face. This helps them live safely and happily in their daily lives, reduces the risk of repeated accidents, and promotes the rehabilitation of their physical and mental capabilities, truly enhancing their quality of life.

This project has been ongoing for the third consecutive year, and in 2021, it expanded from Khon Kaen province to include Chiang Mai province as well. It has received support from various sectors, including government, private, and community leaders, as well as Vimutt Hospital, under Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited, along with partners such as the Social Innovation Foundation, Sirindhorn Hospital in Khon Kaen, and Ban Phaya Chomphu Health Promotion Hospital in Chiang Mai.
Ms. Angkana also expressed gratitude for the collaboration, stating, “Pruksa thanks all government agencies, private sectors, communities, volunteers, and partners who have come together to realize the dream of providing stable and safe homes for people with disabilities through the 'Caring Home for People with Disabilities By Pruksa' project, which is a core part of Pruksa's 'Tomorrow. Reimagined' concept in creating sustainability.”
Pruksa hopes that this project will contribute to building a society that continuously uplifts the lives of people with disabilities, aiming for sustainable development on a global scale, promoting a society with good health and well-being in the future.”
Additionally, Pruksa has been supporting the employment of people with disabilities towards an equitable society for the ninth consecutive year, aiming to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities, reduce inequality, and create opportunities for them in Thailand to access state welfare and services, enabling them to earn a living with dignity. Pruksa believes that the happiness generated for people with disabilities will expand into a sustainably equitable society under the policy of caring for society (Heart to Society).
